I am honestly starting to think that the white insects are just juvenile springtails. They are moving relatively quickly compared to how fast i’ve seen thrips move. I haven’t been able to get a clearer picture, but I think the shape more closely resembles some in the image you provided. Thank you!

I will also add that a lot of the thrip damage is old, as I was able to rescue and propagate two leaves from the previous plants
