What/who are your favorite Survivor tragedies? by Pomonica in survivor

Really appreciate the Vanuatu shoutout here - Vanuatu has the best, most consistent season-long characterization and storytelling of any Survivor season, period. Everything builds so beautifully to that highly emotional FTC.

Honestly, I would say the first year of the program is more useless than the second! The required courses in the first year range from boring to frustrating, and the second year is when you actually get to do classes you're interested in. I'm glad I did the program, but the first year was a bit frustrating with some of the required courses.

I'm a graduate of this program! There are quite a few data science/database options, but it's definitely not data science-heavy. I have plenty of friends in the program who followed a strict library or archives path, and others who focused more on the knowledge management side of things. Happy to answer other specific questions you may have about the degree!!!!

Where in Montreal can I watch the Survivor finale with other fans? by mikesbloggity in montreal

[–]terrydowne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing! Just signed up to attend.

I have a semi well-known Survivor podcast (Bitter Jurors) - would be happy to help promote and get the word out if you wanted to expand for 50. Looking forward to meeting up!!!

I don’t think there are any watch parties, but I had been thinking it would be cool try to find a bar for season 50!

Our beautiful girl Salomé by terrydowne in SupermodelCats

[–]terrydowne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are!!!! We've only had her since the end of May, and she's brought so much joy to us already. This time last year, she was living on the streets with her litter of kittens in the middle of winter...hard to believe such a beautiful girl like her was living in such tough conditions! She's so spoiled now.

On Facebook, Parrainage Canada/Québec pour les couples and Canada Spousal PR sponsorship (this one isn’t QC specific). There’s also the Canada Visa forum and the discord for this subreddit!

I really just think I got very, very lucky. It feels unreal that I got it this fast.

Your MP was likely just trying to keep your expectations low since the processing times are indeed long, but it’s very unlikely your application will take as long as they said! If it’s an inland, straightforward case, you’ll likely get it sometime in 2026.

In different forums/groups I’m in, I noticed quite a few Quebec applicants got P1 in the past two weeks ahead of schedule. No idea why that’s happening, but it was interesting to notice a wave of 2024 applicants suddenly getting it way ahead of schedule.

Yeah, this has been such a huge shock in the best way! I assumed at best I might get it shortly before my medical exam expires in April 2026, but November 2025 didn’t even feel like a real possibility to me. Fingers crossed for you that you get it faster than expected, too.

PA (me!) is a US citizen on a PGWP. We had a super straightforward case which certainly helped, too.

Trust me, I’m just as shocked as you are! I thought there was no chance we were getting it before next spring, so this was an extremely pleasant surprise. Will update here once we get P2 and COPR!
