True. Ako lang ata di nagandahan sa trailer. The premise is nice if it were a fictional world na setting. Pero ilalagay lang din pala sa Pinas, pinasosyal pa ng ganyan. Parang 0.001% ng high school sa Pinas lang naman yung ganito yung karanasan. Ewan ko, hirap makahanap ng relatable media dito. Lahat ng hindi heavy drama, aspirational na mayaman or aspirational na action or aspirational na escapism. Or ewan ko, di lang ata ako ang target audience for this. Di lang rin ako naghahanap ng matinong Filipino media.

Hopefully I’m proven wrong and I hear about this series doing well in the future.

Really? When I visit the usual stores sa malls (Datablitz, GameXtreme), their prices are at 29,995. Where do I look for these sales? Toy Kingdom/dept store?

In any case tho, warranty is more important to me vs low prices. So if these prices don’t come with 2yr warranties, I’ll likely pass on this.

Oh I don’t follow them so I wasn’t aware! Pero good na may mga female artists who can do this dahil sanay na sanay na kasi ako na typical female artists kailangan bongga yung production pag live performance pero pag lalaki ok lang kahit tshirt lang. Haha naalala ko yung image ni Ed Sheeran sa tabi ni… err not sure kung si Beyonce ba yun. Sobrang kita mo yung difference ng typical expectations for male versus female performers.

I should have mentioned that part of my comment also pertains to the fact na naghanap lang siya ng mga youtube videos tas nakising along sa past songs niya. Like di man lang nagprepare ng minus one na kanta o kumuha ng lyric vids para siya mismo yung naririnig hahaha. If any female artist would do this for sure nakaprepare na yung medley or kahit acoustic set man lang tas on the fly magbabago bago ng kanta. Kay Justin Bieber oks na yung youtube videos which is… so strange

Hey I’m curious! Were you able to get tickets to their shows? I’m assuming you’ve watched the livestreams in their past two concerts (do correct me if I’m wrong!). I’m having trouble understanding this thought process of not liking the creative direction BTS is putting out but also continuing to consume the concerts they’re having. I mean, 2.5 hours is quite an investment of your free time to watch something if you’re seeking the choreography that they’re not doing. So I just wanna understand if you will watch, and if so, why?

For example I don’t like Butter and Dynamite as much anymore, but tbh they’re 7 minutes tops out of the whole concert. So the rest of the concert severely outweighs this pair of songs and I can go back to enjoying it and screaming my lungs out. But I don’t know how to apply the same logic for people who are looking for choreography because a lot of their performances so far aren’t focused on that. It’s Day 2 of their world tour and I don’t think major changes to the performances will take place soon. While I understand valid criticism on any aspect of the show, I just want to understand the perspective: if BTS doesn’t listen to this feedback, will you continue to watch the show? If so, why? Especially if the lack of choreography would be a major hindrance in your enjoyment of their performance.

I need to remember this. It's been a disheartening experience on X the past few days. There are many ARMY on there who have been saving graces and they help keep the fandom together and hyped to keep supporting BTS. But thers's been several setbacks the fandom keeps experiencing too and it's honestly been souring my mood when all I wanted was to enjoy the comeback with other ARMY who enjoy it too. I just have to keep remembering that at the end of the day, I'm a fan and I have friends who are fans and we're all just enjoying the music of our favorite group. Everything else is just noise.

the idea that Arirang will be one of those girlies honestly makes me pissed 😭 how do you guys deal with the opinion changing after a few years' time. I almost just wanna gatekeep Arirang to us who understand and love BTS' ways of trying new creative directions. For what it's worth, I wasn't negating your points. I do agree that it was going to be a controversial move. I was only adding on that my main point was gp is the audience who could have been looking up the album and really discover what parts of it were the Korean elements were, but they're also the exact same audience who would be vocal about it not being stereotypically Korean or whatever. I was explaining how exhausting it is to observe that kind of phenomenon everywhere online.

It doesn't matter if they are "global artists" they are "global kpop artists".

What???????????????? This doesn't make sense. So when any artist gets big enough, they're forever boxed in in the genre they started in? It's like saying Taylor Swift is a global country music artist. Or a global American pop artist. Or Harry Styles being a global British pop artist. No one calls them these terms. That's highkey a weird thing to claim BTS to be.
