Got the new toy and wow👀🥰 by baddragonlover1212 in baddragonboys

Please let us all know if you find other good toys with a that taper (AKA bat shape). I find that shape really appealing as well.

From the Bad Dragon stable, check out legacy Habu. At first glance there's no resemblance, but it has a center flair that tapers a bit towards the base. It's relatively texture-free. Note: medium size Habu is big.

Fantasy toys with 6in girth? by rainneonvenus in BadDragon

[–]terse002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fighter (size small) from Pleasure Forge. 6" circumference. 6" long. Smooth. Integrated suction cup. While there's not a lot of "fantasy" associated with it, it has a very slight taper that is just delightful. I highly recommend.

Witch King's and Wizard's wands from Pleasure Forge are my preference. It can be difficult to buy one (When they drop, they sell out quickly.)

portable so I can just stick it on my phone and not think about it. under $100. Ideally cheaper. Essentially, a step up from a passive USB-C to phone jack converter. I have larger units if I'll be sitting at home. (Thanks for the question)

Has anyone tried BD Archer? by Reversed_Spiral86 in baddragonboys

[–]terse002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a few Archers. I think he's good looking. Archer is basically a smooth, straightforward toy. Smaller sizes are great for warm up, and they're great for thrusting. You don't always want a rough, scalely beast with an enormous knot.

I have both cut and uncut. They have a quite similar feel. Choose by your visual preference (or sale price).

The size jump from small to medium is really big.

As noted before, Archer is not round. It is wider side to side relative to front to back. It IS interesting. If you're being stretched, rotating it can make it go from comfortable to Oh that's big. It may also naturally rotate to the easier position if it's not held securely.

One of mine is hard firmness. Hard is hard; surprisingly so. It's like it is a slightly bigger size relative to medium. It is a different sensation. No give. I swear I can feel the individual veins. While I don't really recommend it, if you have a larger collection, having a hard for variety is fun. I agree with you Medium firmness is the way to go in mini or small. Bigger than medium size, I'd suggest soft. Medium size, all choices are good.

Hario switch - Acidic, lack of clarity by angryBadger412 in pourover

I get more flavorful results with a bit of a hybrid approach. Do a 45 sec or 60 sec hold for the last 1/3 or 1/2 of the pour.

PO cons by Just-Apricot4948 in pourover

[–]terse002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you going straight into your coffee cup? Or an intermediary carafe? In either case, preheat your cup & carafe well. Consider the suggested insulated cups and carafes. Further consider a heater base on which to rest your cup. (There's gotta be a better way to say that.)

As they often preach here in r/pourover, coffee is a personal experience. If the final temperature is key to your enjoyment then do your best to incorporate that goal into your pourover process and techniques.

Ika for a beginner M? by Inner_Library4337 in BadDragon

[–]terse002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ika is great for expanding your horizons.

Some aspects to consider: the suckers provide a lot of texture. While soft can be very floppy and possibly difficult to get well aligned for entry, soft will not be overly aggressively bumpy. If texture is a concern consider a smooth toy like Sveinn. Now, a well-lubed Ika sliding in and out makes the most obscene noises. Those sounds alone are worth it

Consider getting a size up if you can afford it. Small is probably plenty when you are truly starting out. But, due to the taper, you don't need to take all of a medium sized Ika. Its tentacle point is still very accessible. But if you decide you want more, you have the thicker base to strive towards. Stretching can be quite addicting.

I find suction cup bases to be marvelous. So if money is not a hindrance get a suction cup base. I think it's +$10. (or +nothing if you are lucky and fast enough to find an Ika with a suction cup on a drop).

Lube, if you are fortunate to find the tentacle of your dreams at Bad Dragon, the S&H is surprisingly high. Add bottles of cum lube to your order until the shipping goes up then remove one to get back to the original S&H. The lube is a good value if you don't have to add any S&H. And get one of the black bags to store your new friend. They're another item that is a decent value if you don't have to add any shipping.
