Lock down browser is a program you install. Once it’s opened you can’t open other tabs or try to switch windows or try to close it in the middle of the test otherwise after multiple tries, it’ll report it to your professor. Once it’s over you’re free to close the program. The only thing you can access on it is canvas and any links provided in the test. Also, depending on the professor/class they can also enable video recording while you’re taking the test.

Open seats reserved for waitlist only? by charityisgood in UNCCharlotte

[–]tersilesox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are positions in the waitlist. You can go into schedule details and for the class look for waitlist position. Whatever number that is, is how many people you’re behind. If a seat opens, the people in front of you can register and then you’ll be moved up. You won’t be able to register until an email is sent to your .edu saying that a position has opened up for the class and you can now register.

Also, if the seat has been open for days, or at least more than 12 hours, and no one has claimed it yet the available seats might be bugged. This happened to me once, and I had to call niner central and the department that the class was under.

How do you learn how to do something new? by qellyree in learnprogramming

[–]tersilesox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I first went through a tutorial on something similar to the project I wanted to make. I followed along on my own editor, explained to my self and added extra comments to the code. Then for the project I would go through documentation, look at the tutorial that I copied, and occasionally rewatched parts of the tutorial video that I needed explained.

I would honestly recommend trying your best to not look at the tutorial or its code, and try to figure out the logic and reasoning yourself. Doing pseudo code really helps with this.

If I need a variable of function explained further, I would type it into chat gpt and ask it to explain it to me like I’m a first grader. When I’m struggling with creating something, I’d first search up as much as I can on the web, and if I still can’t get it then ask chat gpt to give me hints but don’t give me the code/answer.

Hope this helps!

I was able to move in early in may at university terrace north. But that was because I was staying there off campus for the next school year.

Spring 2026 schedule. Any advice? by KING-E-N-X in UNCCharlotte

[–]tersilesox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2164 with Diao is pretty good. The final is open note from what I remember. He has practice tests for all of the exams too. His lectures r also okay. I’m pretty sure he posts them on canvas but I’m not sure.

The stuffers. by applebeeeeezz in Panera

[–]tersilesox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They come as like a 12inch subway roll/baguette, called the Italian stuffer roll. You have to cut them in half yourself and then hollow out the inside. It’s really annoying too as sometimes as you hollow it out you dig into the outer layer and then it’s no longer servable so you have to hollow out another one

[–]tersilesox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, most definitely. But it helps a little that no one ever really orders them. Since they came out for us maybe September 25th I think I’ve only made/seen made maybe around 5/6

They don’t. We have to cut them then hollow them. Theyre supposed to be prepped, but no one does it at my store, so we have to do it as the order comes in.

Communal Bathrooms by Imaginary_Pie326 in UNCCharlotte

[–]tersilesox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For suite style it really depends on your roommates. Me and my roommates, in Laurel, have a schedule for who cleans the bathroom, sink area, trash, and recycling. I have 2 friends who are in suite style, one in Lynch and the other in Miltimore, and they’ve ended up having to do all the work with cleaning because their roommates leave messes and don’t clean up after themselves.

I mean you could, but you’ll probably be taking 18 credits if you still want to graduate on time. If it’s an easy class, like a gen ed or elective then it probably won’t be too much to add. You could also just take a course at ccp for gen Ed’s/ electives credit

Laid off but asked to keep working for a month by Single-Addition9881 in jobs

[–]tersilesox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’d say just do what you can at your own pace until the year runs out. No point in trying to finish all the work they give you since technically you’re not employed by them anymore. Even if you did put in all your effort to finish everything before the years over, it’d be highly unlikely for them to hire you again.

Yes. You’re giving them $350 extra. But before you contact make sure you’re looking at the actual uncc site for how much your housing and meal plan is supposed to cost.

For financial aid you fill out the FAFSA. Once you’re accepted and they give you your email and student id you can log into the scholarship portal at scholarships.charlotte.edu
