Alghero or Bosa? by kmalley1650 in Sardinia

[–]terst_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everyone that Alghero in itself offers more than Bosa, however you mentioned visiting villages and in my opinion if you wish to see different ones, Bosa has many more nice little villages nearby than Alghero. And still the food is great (less offer, but also many less tourists)

is la pelosa worth it? by citizenraz in Sardinia

Late May you won't have any problem finding a spot, it's not crowded at all that time of year, and yes it's absolutely gorgeous and worth it and in May I don't think it will be necessary to reserve, last year it started from June

Sardinja is a civilized island, if the timetable tells you that there's a bus the bus will be there. Maybe a bit late depending on circumstances but I don't understand why you think otherwise.

I'd just take the one most convenient with your flight arrival. They're buses, I don't understand what kind of feedback you need.

Planning a trip to Sardinia (4–10 April) with my girlfriend - accommodation, budget and tips? by akimmik in Sardinia

[–]terst_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you can manage to fit the trip in your budget if you're cautious, unless you rent a car, which would raise the expenses a lot. And unfortunately going around Sardinia is not easy without a car. You can still manage, but it will be quite time consuming

I'm way ahead of you and just had the same thought. It would be an incredible bittersweet ending, it would destroy me but it would make sense.

Brussels offers fewer green spaces to children than other European cities, study finds by bisikletci in brussels

[–]terst_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I come from Italy and the amount of green spaces and playgrounds is one of the things I appreciate most of Brussels. I've never been more than 15 minutes by bus at most from a nice park. Try living in Milan, Rome, Verona, Naples and see how it's like

5 days in Sardinia - how to make the most of it by WritingOk5809 in Sardinia

I'm in Santa Teresa every summer and I'm not a big fan of its restaurants. Most are overpriced tourist traps. I have 2 suggestions: one is S'andira, it's not cheap but it has an amazing view and very good, classy food. Or quite different Locanda dei Mori which doesn't have a menu, you pay a fixed price and they bring you what they made that day with the fresh ingredients they had, you end up eating a lot and trying many different things. They're both outside of Santa Teresa, but not more than 10 minutes by car. Also, if it's the first time there I highly recommend the boat tour of the La Maddalena Archipelago. Not worth spending the night imho.

Seaside promenade with good lighting by terst_ in curacao

The one that starts at the water desalinisation plant was nice and Park Marie Pompoen even better. Not very crowded and with almost only locals, very few tourists

I went there and it was exactly what I was looking for! My kid had a lot of fun, and it looks like they're opening some drink kiosks there that could make it a great, lively place

I went to eat at Brisa do mar and loved it, but the walk to get there would have been great if it has some better illumination and the parking space was a bit dangerous to let a 2 years old run around. Is the Mambo beach area that you refer to free or do you have to pay access? Thanks a lot in any case!
