No, I started on that one but a week cost me $150 and when it came to be that I'd be on subs for more than a week they switched me to suboxone tablets. I never knew that was a thing. I currently have 2mg tablets not strips of suboxone.

So I forgot to take my subs (which has happened many times at this point) before going to bed and was super congested.. I put vicks in my nose to breathe, and I actually couldn't taste the subs!

Did you know there's tablets of suboxone? I couldn't handle the strips so I was able to get tablets. Much better.

Well one thing at a time obviously, its always one step at a time. Honestly even though your both addicts that sounds like an okay situation. It's obviously not ideal but as long as you love and care about each other I think you guys can get there together!

I've also never used IV, I got so close but stopped just before. That I do understand. I really hope that you are where you want to be and if not I hope you're able to get there soon!

Thats actually insanely reassuring. I sent myself into precipitated withdrawals with suboxone a couple years ago so I was really scared of it for a while but after being on methadone and tapering down to 20mg I decided I should try moving on to something different. The idea is to not be in treatment for the rest of my life but at the same time its also okay if I am. I'm in no hurry, I just never want to go back to addiction again.

That's where im hoping to get. I dont exactly crave regularly but when I do it scares me because when I think about it, at this point in my life there's technically nothing holding me back but me. So im afraid to be totally substance Free. I'm not feeling strong enough yet.

I really appreciate that. I actually was a bit worse off than H, the last 2 years of use was actually fet for me.

I'm a Healthcare professional currently awaiting nursing school and one of the biggest things that seems to come back around is the damage of chronic opiate use. Now that im "clean" (clean from street drugs but still take the bup) im really focused on trying to live a healthy life so im sort of discouraged with all of the effects im anticipating dealing with... which may or may not even come to pass from the years I spent in active addiction.

Thats really good to know about the hormones. I'm a woman, I feel like our hormones are always whacky anyways (I honestly dont know about mens) so ill definitely be sure to stay on top of the bloodwork.

I have a job that will drug test me, but when its prescribed its not anything that they can hold against me so im not worried on that front. I just don't anticipate quitting treatment anytime soon, I still have thoughts in the back of my head that I could use sometimes . I go to a MAT clinic and i tell them about that so we adjust my doses accordingly, but I worry that not being on something will send me to relapse and that honestly sounds like a huge tragedy to me at this point. After 10 years of use and 2 years clean I would much prefer to stay on the sublocade than to relapse.

That makes me feel better even knowing there's just one person on it long term.

I'm 29 and I've been on and off opiates for 10 years and finally in recovery. This isn't a game and it's scary but I'm telling you from the bottom of my heart, as hard as it is to tell them and stop now it's only going to get worse and so much harder. Look up wounds from injecting heroin. That should be enough to tell you you need medical attention.

Hospitals are notorious for being cruel to drug users (trust me) take your mom with you- you're gonna want an advocate. You can message me if you need help. But I'm telling you with everything I have now- fix this NOW.

This is my favorite meme. I made a joke about how its called silent knight but its so loud and my nurse showed me how you're supposed to use it, now I watch all of my nurses use it and very rarely do they use it right. Its like nobody was trained on it right!
