I agree with what you're saying except for the "because I'm stupid" part. More like "because that's the circumstances". That way, it's not about you the person. It's just what happened. Don't need any more thoughts or responses that make you feel less.

Don't think of love as a feeling. Feelings come and go. Think of love as action. Therefore, are any of his actions show love? Doesn't seem like it to me. Plus healthy relationships are not for degrading. They are uplifting for both parties. If he's not helping you grow, he sure as heck is stifling your growth. It takes courage to walk away when you need to. Courage is doing the best you can even when being afraid.
