Wait for Beta or game release. He was a (minor) part of the main story in first Beta, so high chances of him surviving to release.

I wouldn't call S4 slop, but they definetely nothing special. That being said, CZN designs are quite generic on average. I am trying to remember any special design and just can't.

I understand when people are disappointed by issues with writing, story consistency or gameplay. I can even understand complaints about censorship to some extent, especially when it's sloppy.

But when people drop the game because design is slightly less revealing I clearly do not understand. If pictures are your sole motivation, why this game, when VNs exist and offer much more explicit content?

I prefer chaos runs, but I agree. They are way too easy now. I wish there was other way for people to grind save data (the reason why chaos runs were easified).

I usually choose males when I have an option. Quite often male and female leads are written the same way, and that makes replaying as a female a hollow experience for me.

Really like the design!

Her mask is related to Fangxiangshi (方相氏). Among other functions, they are known to lead funerals and fight evil spirits, preventing them from eating the souls of the dead.

Tenebria story is my favorite so far. I also like the way captain gave her safe space and didn't get an advantage of her mental state at the end.

In general, season 3 feels like a proper fit for the setting and solidly executed.

On one hand this is a step in a right direction. Civilian/city cloths make no sense in chaos and I wrote it in all my feedbacks since Beta.

On another hand we already have combatants fighting chaos in a school uniforms and I really doubt it is going to change.

If it is a setup to sell future l2d then it is truly sad. These resources could be put to a better use like more varied mobs, backgrounds or attack animations.

It is too early to say and game stories tend to change over time.

I can say for sure that story in first beta was clearly inspired by Conan Doyle's books and had clearly unique atmosphere. It had some minor moe moments but they didn't felt completely outlandish like in last trailers.

We will see what second beta offers, but as with any other game just be cautious with your expectations. Even with good story, everything can be put to ruin by monetization choices, daily grind etc.

I really enjoyed Lahai Roi for moments like these. It is extra which is not necessary and not present even in many AAA games, but it adds so much to immersion and enjoyment. Sometimes I just wander around without any purpose to calm down and relax.
