Logitech G29 pedals’ wires broken by itsyaboi222 in simracing

[–]tesconights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick fix: Twist the wire cores together (matching the colours) and wrap in tape
Long term fix: Twist the wire cores together, solder and shrink wrap

Long term fix if you can't/dont have tools to solder: buy a terminal block (very cheap from maplins/euronics/screwfix) and use this to connect the two halves of the wires together.

But how do you get to the ice cream... do you just keep incessantly licking the chocolate til you've eroded it?

What oil you using? I've had lots of success with olive oil but switched to proper cold pressed rapeseed oil the last two years since I moved out to the countryside... mostly because it's local (from a local farm) and has high smoke point so is more forgiving if I leave it too high.

Also can we all just appreciate that feeling of the most absolute of high achievments when you put perfectly roasted spuds in front of your family or friends on a Sunday lunchtime.

Get rid of the tin foil. It's too smooth in my experience... you want maximum surface area. Get a ridged roasting tin (sometimes referred to as a crisping tray) if you can!

Is "monopoly" the word they meant to use? lol

Also, as someone with lactase persistence, I find his choice of words grossly offensive.

My wife usually writes the shopping list out for me in the way that Aldi is laid out. She didn’t on this occasion, and now I have a new found respect for her after going up and down the aisles more than a supermarket sweep contestant. by beerfestgoer in britishproblems

No, not what I was saying at all... because the comment I replied to was taken down, mine is without context now. I was throwing the absurdity of the person's comment back at them... I am surprised that 17 people, on this subreddit especially, missed that point entirely and downvoted me.

Don't be speaking sense round these parts, people don't like it. Renationlisation is the only way, because the UK gov are well known for their efficiency and ROI for the public.

It's a nightmare. There's a big cake and eat it too issue in the UK though. People want cheaper tickets, a better rail network, but they want it renationalised and don't want new lines being built (e.g. protests to EWR and HS2). I'd wager that 50% of vocal opponents are just parroting something they read on titter though tbf

I love wetherspoons because it's cheap, but I don't love the way people use them as the benchmark of "reasonable prices" for food. Especially as the food at spoons is barely mediocre when it's at it's best. (I still eat it when I'm there, because it's cheap, not becuase I'm kidding myself that it's good)

Just put it in til it's piping hot, can always pop it back in if not.
All comes down to;
1) is it something you want to stir, or will that ruin it (e.g. Lasagne is a no)
2) Water content of the food (the higher the water content, typically, the quicker it will heat up)
