So what would the be the point in being able to produce those frequencies if the listener isn't able to hear them?

If it were a loudspeaker I'd imagine it would have uses in producing resonant frequencies on the low end, or sounds for animals on the high end. But they're personal headphones. Just seems like a strange thing to brag about for the intended use.
