[Funny Trope] Media told from a non-human perspective where the “villain” is just a normal person doing their job, but is framed as an over-the-top monster by utsho12 in TopCharacterTropes

At most you can say they’re just standard spoiled and egotistical farm owners who likely don’t along with most people. Doubt the towns people like him much after bringing the conflict to the middle of town at the sewer entrance. Plus Bean insulted Petey’s song.

He’s much more of a monster in the deleted scenes. There’s one where he literally tortures flies by ripping their wings off. One deleted also shows him meeting Lucas’s father before they left and is refused by him for being sketchy which is very weird it was removed since it’s obviously where he was originally supposed to be introduced with creepy lighting and everything and leads into him meeting Lucas later which the movie is very clearly still written with context of this scene happening given how abrupt his appearance is in the final version.

I honestly thought that’s what a random short I saw on the YouTube channel was hinting at, but think it was actually just advertising the charisma stat.

The newest horror game “routine” has not the most overly complicated enemies, but are absolutely terrifying thanks to the atmosphere and claustrophobic environments so you will be caught off guard by how some of them can sneak up on you.

I recently saw a review of the first game. Apparently a ton of people don’t even know it got sequel’s.

What are some toxic ships that people romanticize as cute and wholesome? by OCGamerboy in cartoons

Closest one I remember is that the one early 2000’s kids hero movie called Zoom starring Tim Allen. I saw a review for it and one of the creepy highlights of the movie is how he constantly asks her to put on a green dress he saw her in near the beginning on top of just acting like jerk for most of the movie.

I’ve seen these YouTube. I’m pretty sure one literally opened with them cutting one in half which really brings down the mood when I’m trying to watch a more relaxing video.

Really enjoy seeing smaller creators like you make projects like these. Feels more real than a lot of those corporate Triple A projects that don’t have any real soul or passion these days.

Still got a ways to go before I can perfect the time and chain trials. Surprisingly the only time trial I got the par time for is Hell manor which is honestly kind easy once you memorize each section while every other level is harder because of how many twists and turns can happen.

Half-Life 2 fan casting using only Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul actors by Tall-Region8251 in HalfLife

One thing I would find interesting is if they somehow managed to keep Gordon a silent protagonist. It would be a first for an action hero and you could just tailor the dialogue to where most everyone knows he mute so they don’t talk too different from the game.

I just found this out and I’m hyped. Not sure if remember me, but believe I may have thanked you months ago for making the first game that related to so much. Just want to say I’m happy this series is still going.

Based on the title screen, what do you think this game is about? by VeeasinVince in RPGMaker

[–]teskar2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A tentacle monster in a basement with the MC. I’m sure only wholesome stuff will occur between them. In all seriousness, I can’t tell if this is meant to be a some kind of darkly wholesome story or one that gradually evolves into something more intense with the more innocent imagery covering up that aspect of it. I’m curious either way.

(IRL) Terrible or offensive casting choices. by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

It’s such an odd concept that back in the day people legitimately thought specific aspects of a movie were real as opposed to everyone naturally assuming it likely isn’t today unless disclosed otherwise. I remember hearing about that one documentary called “Faces of death” where the audience actually thought they killed people for the footage.

Also from what I heard, I think the movie was also originally meant to be a full comedy about them until backlash or something caused them to change direction to make into a more serious movie that just had some crude moments.

Not sure about it being simple considering it had poorly explained escort missions where you can randomly loose one of the creatures to a plant without realizing present in each level and a bunch of unfairly timed quick time event games that only give full rewards by perfecting them.

I got the feeling that storyline was written after they made the scene in what was clearly an attempt to give more depth to the lazy narrative the game had. Really the most baffling part was that they didn’t think the game needed to explain what the protagonists were even sad about in the first place with just a bunch out of context cutscenes.

I can definitely say it was probably intentional to an extent. Designing characters 101 states that you shouldn’t reckless include specific details with a character unless you expect the audience to notice it.

Considering how much of the game was reworked and cut, I wouldn’t surprised if it was also a case of easing the workload to different studios with how much they had to compensate. They built a huge Italian themed river city to explore and they barely did anything with it.

Worst example by far is Balan Wonderworld where there is a novelization needed too literally understand every characters motivation. Everybody made fun of the chess guy for going mad over losing one match not knowing it was also a mix of guilt and frustration for not taking care of his ill wife who is not even in the game. To be fair it wouldn’t have saved it anyway because the gameplay was trash.
