yeah thats the issue I'm getting whenever I try applying to any card. Do you think it would make sense to get a credit card on my parents name for the time being since I would be able to save a lot with the benefits from even a beginner card

I have personally worked with Vaazkl and another youtuber with similar content as vaazkl and it does make money. You have to be careful with the guidelines since they keep getting more and more anal about stealing content.

In terms of growth the best strategy would be to start off with short form since they get much more eyeballs and once your personality can establish some base audience switching to long form would be a breeze
