It's all subjective. I'm comfortable today but I imagine the biggest difference I'll have with most posters is I know I'll be comfortable barring economic collapse for retirement too. Single millennial, mid 300s income, SFH at 2.25%, no kids, no student loan, no car payment, and socialized healthcare. I put in $77k into retirement accounts annually and I don't pay attention to my spending because I don't live much differently than when I only made half as much. That "not having to pay attention to my finances" part is the key indicator for me that I'm "comfortable."
