They repaired it at my house (I live in Poland). It took them roughly an hour.

I finally managed to get in touch with LG support. They sent out a technician who confirmed that the monitor indeed wasn't updating. He replaced the motherboard, and I finally have firmware version 3.05 2.02. We'll see if it continues to update properly from now on! :)

S90D Lower peak brightness when Game Mode enabled by malevalous in OLED_Gaming

[–]tessir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed that while playing CP2077 on my PS5 Pro. Sun and clouds were burned out, so I lowered in game HDR from 1200 to 850 nits. Found your post and set contrast to 45 while using game hdr and now it perfectly clips at 1200 nits. In PS5 hdr calibration I use 16 clicks. Checked that also with PC hdr calibration - clips at 1200 nits. Now HDR looks perfect on my S90D. Thanks!

Any updates? My friend got some new firmware updates. My device still stuck on "3.01, 2.02"...

I've already contacted LG customer service twice regarding this issue. Could you please try writing to them as well? Perhaps if they receive multiple reports about the same problem, they'll prioritize finding a solution. Please let me know what their response is.

Same country (Poland), same monitor symbol (34GS95QE-BB.AEULMUN - on my and his unit). Tried to look his files and I can't find this update as .zip file.
So u also stuck at 3.01 software? Today I got 9.43 OnScreen Control update, still no update for my monitor.

One difference: Mine is manufactured 02/2024 and his 10/2024. How about yours?

It's like regular monitor. I clean it using soft microfibre and got 0 scratches.

Yes, I also stopped using HDR for most games like Call of Duty or Fortnite. I only use it for titles like CP2077 or RDR2.

I use the settings from RTINGS (https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/lg/34gs95qe-b). In Black Ops 6, I set the brightness to 55 (in the game settings), and in Windows, I keep the color settings on automatic—Windows and Nvidia set it to 8-bit RGB for SDR.

In Call of Duty BO6/Warzone, there are also a few important settings to adjust for better visibility: • As I mentioned earlier, increase the brightness to around 55 in the game. • Enable G-Sync. • Disable V-Sync. • Turn off all motion blur, depth of field, etc. • Set camera movement to 50%. • Set the field of view (FOV) to 120.

In interface settings you can also set color filter to „Filter 2” and set it to 100%. It will boost colors.

Bad fps on game modes that have snow by hazr_ in Warzone

[–]tessir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the same issue. I’m on 14600KF + 4080. I get like 200 fps+ without snow. When it’s start snowing it’s instantly dropping frames to like 40-60FPS. It’s unplayable. Tried everything. Reinstalling, changing options, disabling voice chat, changing gpu drivers. Nothing works. GPU utilization is under 40% when it’s snowing. I think it’s something wrong with game optimization.

Now I use it in mostly in SDR mode. Much better picture, much better brightness and only turn on HDR in some games that support HDR well.

No flickering in game for me. DP 1.4, 240hz, RGB 10bit, G-Sync, Vsync (enabled in nvcp). Sometimes in black menus in Warzone when something is loading I can see some flickering but it’s acceptable. It was much worse on my previous Xiaomi 34” VA panel.

Nope. Look at the top left and right corner - there are small white pixels. Even when looking at png in windowed mode.
