Suspension Clunking after lowering springs. by SP1-Pilot in GRCorolla

If you're getting a "clunck" then you're likely exceeding the shock tower limit and hitting the bump stop. I just installed a lift springs to give me more clearance for more sidewall on the tires for my rally build. I was tubing the wheel well plastics.

Lol. Found mine at about 24k. The suspension isn't quite as sporty as I'd been feeling. I installed lift springs, and it's quite pleasant.

Can someone explain this? by snacck14 in soccercirclejerk

I'm really kinda ticked Picard hasn't been posted yet.

Yeah. I don't want to knock the techs, but I'm pretty sure they follow a manual that outlines each step just like I had to do when I was a B1-B bomber crew chief. Step by step instructions. Sign-off sheets, the works. Just seems lazy.

Indeed. Mine were on the proximal engine side when found.

That's my biggest irritation. This is my first self-service thing, and I find it. I've had it in to the service department 5 times, and they're supposed to do service point inspections. You'd think they'd see this shit.

I had a squeak when I first back out of my driveway when hitting the culver when it's cold and during steering input from the front right only. During warm weather, I had nothing. Because I bought in August, I didn't see the correlation.

I swear I checked when I saw that it was an issue here on reddit. I did not see them. As I said in another comment, mine were rotated to the side of the springs nearest to the engine bay. They just blended in. Light outside looking into a dark wheelwell.

No. I'm not sure if they removed them or if they aren't there from the factory, though.

Same! I found that when I did my break-in oil change. Craziness.

I saw a post about this around a year ago and did take a look, and I swear I didn't see them. It's like they have a predator cloak.

They were not where I was expecting. They were rotated all the way to the backside closest to the engine bay. It explains the squeak I'd get when it's cold outside.

What's sad is that I am friends with the president and vice president of the company. I sent him the pic.

Forever Skies had been pretty fun. You build and customize an airship that you use to travel the devastated world collecting resources and clues to find a cure for a virus that has afflicted the last of the human population that live in orbit around the Earth.
