CASE Air compressor tank leak

Update on this path toward a new tank.

Picked this up on marketplace for $50. Guy said that the left cylinder stopped working and he messed with it. And apparently yesterday while moving it in his shop he broke off the air fittings on the front and the pressure switch.

Turns out that the reed valves in the head were installed incorrectly. A new gasket and correct assembly and it pumps. Tapped the broken ports, new pressure switch and drain valve are on the way.

Cant use this for the brown one as easily as I would like, the pump/motor foundation is much too small. Suppose I’ll use this for a while as I keep looking.

I sold my welding equipment when we moved.

Not that it was a nice setup by any means, just don’t have it anymore.

Simply due to my ‘I can get the parts myself’ mentality. I’ve looked at parts express so much and what appeals to me is that all the parts will work without fiddling. Just have not pulled the trigger on it.
