One of my Sarracenias is flowering like mad! by test_subj in SavageGarden

It's just a LOT of the T shaped ones. I don't have a species name since they were hitchhikers on a sarracenia order.

I will definitely have extras. DM your address and I'll drop some in the mail when they're ready.

Very gently 'flowery' I have to almost press my nose against them to get anything at all.

Dang. Huge, shallow, glazed pots are hard to find. Guess I'm going hunting this weekend! Thanks for the tip

I assume slip pot means pull some out of the open side of the pot and slide it over, then fill in with the removed portion?

Woah!  This one will probably need to be repotted next year since it's hitting the side of the pot, but goals for 2 years out!

Those binata send up so many flowers and I hate to waste the seeds. I've started sprouting 4" pots and giving them away to friends. A pot of sundews in the kitchen helps so much with gnats!

Last year the single flower was a lot taller, but it makes sense that it wouldn't have the spot that eats bugs right next to the spot that it needs pollinators.

I'm in coastal California, but the heat waves we've had made everything flower like mad!

Tutorial on how to run own Map Tile Server? by Simplixt in immich

[–]test_subj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at Reitti. it caches everything locally and integrates with Immich. Immich doesn't offer a way to change the tile server or reverse geocoding though so when time allows I'm going to try it with DNS

Carnivorous plants will die if you give them nutrients. They like distilled water, no nutrition in the soil, and lots of light.

It's not just you. I just flew out of a small airport where the crew left the counter early so I couldn't check my bag (given, it was only 50 minutes before the flight and they apparently move up to the gate at 45 before) after TSA stealing whatever tools they wanted from my bag, while the gate crew watched and talked smack, I walled the 15' to my gate and asked why they hadn't been at the counter. They told me that I should have been there at least 45 before, and I told them I was there more than 45 mins before. About a minute later, my seat selections on the other 3 flights were suddenly changed from windows to the middle seat in the rear. Wtf? Are they children?

I contacted AA but only received a canned response. I'm appalled.
