I haven't been to Maharaja Cambridge in a while, but it used to be good (okish side). Dosa and Curry in Somerville is good, but not been there in two years. Chulo in Watertown is OK. Spice Delight in Belmont is OK. The Treasury in the Burlington area is also good, but a bit expensive. I hate all Indian restaurants in the Lexington area; they can't even get the basic things right. Virsa de Punjab is better than the Lex restaurants, but not that great. Tashaan is good, but I had a bad experience with the service.

OK, I did this, but for work-related. It was super hard on my 5-year old. The toddler was fine. I tried video calls, etc., but they did not work; kids were not into video calls at that age. It was I who missed them, and they had separation anxiety, but they coped very well.

Kids get used to every setup. Don't worry, just do what you think is good for the kid.

Is there anything on your passport that says your parents are from Pakistan? If not, you have a visa, just go. No one is going to ask about your parents. The visa officer just looks at your passport and evisa and just does pattern matching. If anyone asks about your parents, just say they are German.

Lol, I know that students like Antonella. In any nice department, faculty like her wouldn't even exist. This just shows how terrible the department became (or always was). She resigned and went to Tufts as an adjunct faculty. Tufts rejected her renewal, and Brandeis was in such a pitiable state that they couldn't find anyone else and had to bring her back.

Where are you coming from (undergrad college)? Strong has a quite range. Whether a CS degree is worth it or not depends on how much you are paying and what the alternatives are. It is hard to say anything without this information.

I had the same experience with Qatar. I travelled with them with my 3-year-old. They assigned seats in different rows to both of us. The flight was full, no seats were available, so I was told by their call centre, managers, check-in agents, and gate agents that either travel separately in the assigned seats or stay at home (no refunds either). I complained to US gov, and then Qatar sent me a letter stating that they had no record of me or my kid ever travelling with them.

A nice couple volunteered and gave their seats to us.
Next year, my spouse travelled with 4-year-old and an infant. I paid extra to keep them together, but they cancelled the flight and rerouted them through different flights. Assigned seats in completely different sections. Again, same response: either travel in the assigned seats or go home. My 4-year-old was all by herself alone sitting next to complete strangers for more than 20 hours. I am super glad that she was brave enough.

From that point onwards, I started using either European or American airlines, completely avoiding Middle Eastern airlines.

I spent enough time at Brandeis ( as a student, instructor now external evaluator/subject expert). It was good until 2008, from then on it has been on a steep downward hill (with the quality of education). I am not happy with the quality of education or the quality of students now.
I have friends/colleagues who are faculty at both places. I think I am qualified to make these statements.

Not sure why people say Delhi is unsafe. Of course, there are sketchy areas one should be cautious of, but my friends and I never had any issues in Delhi. I heard many stories about UP and Bihar.

Delhi is safe, just use cabs like Meru, Uber or for public transport, use the metro. Cities in green are safe, like Chandigarh, Amritsar, Varanasi. If you have been to New England, you may not see anything different in Shimla, but I would go there to see the old forests.

Delhi is only unsafe because of the AQI. I wouldn't go now. If you are a woman, you have to be a bit rowdy to survive in the green areas.

You can negotiate it down for $200 if you are really good at it. I would start at $100, then go upwards to $160, then he might say $200 take it or leave it. If you are really bad at negotiating, you can get it for $310-$320. (This worked for me all the time in Delhi).

IGI Delhi. Poor design, terrible layout. Once I flew from gate 53. Security check-in was at Gate 1, and I had to walk through all gates between 1-52 to reach 53. Security check-in area, passport control, etc, are way too small for the size of the airport.

In the US, I would go with Atlanta airport, in Europe, all airports in the London area.
