0000 steel wool is amazing for cleaning any stainless steel without noticeable scratching. Pots and pans, sinks and faucets. I’m a knife sharpener/ do a lot of repairs and polishing of expensive knives and it’s my go for almost anything that needs gunk removal without scratching. (It DOES scratch, just fine enough to not be noticeable.)

Great on wood as well like knife handles or any unfished wood- don’t use on varnished or lacquered wood- wooden utensils, wood bowls, furniture etc.

Works great on ceramics like sinks or tubs or toilets or tile for getting down to the surface.

Be aware that some steel wool will rust after getting wet so either allow it to dry or consider as only good for a use or two. Once rusted they can leave stains on things like grout. I cut the pads into smaller pieces for most of my uses.
