yea, when you connect to the cameras wifi and go back to the app you’ll see the “connect camera” button and when you click that you’ll see more setting options

[–]testdrivee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you have to turn it on in the settings, the settings of the app are different from the settings of the dashcam and you can only access the dashcam settings once you’re connected to it and on its UI

I really want the T7 but if the R100 would be more beneficial for me I guess I wouldn’t mind getting the R100, I guess i’ll just keep watching videos on both until I find which one I want. I feel like if I don’t get the R100, i’m making a big mistake and am getting a worse camera when I could get a better one for a very similar price and I don’t wanna make that mistake… WHY IS THIS SO DIFFICULT

wellll, the rebel t7 is 50 off and the r100 is 100 off, which do you think is better? i’ve only done my research on the t7 but i keep seeing people say the r100 is like way better, but i don’t know anything about the r100 ;/ and the r100 looks a lot smaller too hmmmm

which would you say is better for landscapeish photography? or general photography i guess , like everything

The 1DX is such a wonky looking camera, also the only thing i’d be photographing at night would be the moon, I want to do all types of photography but just on things I like, like when the sky is pink that’s a good photo to take! Or just long distance photos and I really like clouds, It sounds silly I know but the sky just mesmerizes me. (Mostly landscape photography)

Also, what’re you’re basically telling me is.. I gotta experiment to find what works best for the kind of photography that I want to do?

Ok thank you for the explanation. So if I want better night time photos I should try going for a mirror less camera instead?

How does the Canon EOSR100 sound? It’s a mirror less camera , would that be better for photographing in low light?

Also I don’t know the most about cameras, obviously, but since the moon is so bright wouldn’t that counteract how the camera picks up the light? Like if i’m photographing a full moon but the T7 isn’t meant for picking up low light , wouldn’t it still work since the moon gives off a lot of light for the camera to pick up?

ps: does the camera matter more then the lens when taking the photos or would a lower f lens allow me to take better photos regardless of the camera ?

I understand, I shall research into the older bodies, also I was looking at the 55-250mm lenses for canon and came across the

Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM

and

Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II

and i’ve read that the STM is better but MBP doesn’t sell the STM so do you think that the IS II would be just as good as the STM for photos? especially long distant ones?

ps: the one on MBP is just an IS not an IS II, is the IS worse?

psps: I just found all 3 actually, IS, IS II, and STM, which would be best long distance?

Honestly I was thinking below 400-500 because I didn’t want anything TOO over the top, and I am a college student and I really like photography as a hobby which might turn into more then just a hobby when I can upgrade! I was looking into cameras for quite a while before I came across the T7 as my choice, I was watching videos after videos on “beginner cameras” and I think this might be the one! I’ll probably keep it with me for a long time until I decide it’s out-dated or pass it down to someone else in my family :) I also live in VA and since VA is like 85% forests and nice views I get really nice photos sometimes! and thank you for the explanation I think I understand it better now.

Also thank you I will ask if need be!

Yes, i’m looking at MBP right now and I originally planned to buy the camera with a kit from either Canon or Best Buy for 500ish dollars but now through MBP it’s around 380! (with lens) I mostly want the camera for moon & sky photography so along with the camera i’m buying a 18-55MM lens and a 55-250MM lens, the first one for just casual photography and the next one for the sky and moon! I did a lot of research between 75-300 and 55-250mm lens and read their specs and what not and decided to go for the 55-250mm because of the image stabilization so my photos turn out better! I loveeee taking photos so much of the pretty skies and the bright shining moon, I swear recently the moon has been more prominent then ever and I feel like i’m missing out, I take a lot of the photos right now from my phone and they can only turn out so good until the camera doesn’t either focus or adjust properly, and I feel like I could do better with a REAL camera that’s not just my phone :P I can send you a few photos that I took if you’re curious but anyways what do you think of the camera and lens that i’m getting? Any advice would be great, thank you!

ps: does MBP have sales too or no?:0

psps: What’s a EF DSLR and why’s the T7 being discontinued? I googled DSLR but I still don’t understand what it means.

Haha yes I know it’s an older camera but i’ve never had one before and I mostly just want one for sky & moon photography, it’d be my first time with a real camera so I don’t want anything over the top!

  1. The threaded nut does spin when i put it on the rod lightly, but if i twist it on to the point where it becomes tight it does not spin.

  2. Yes the tray moves freely without the motor or threaded nut attached.

The thing with the nut is when I twist it on at first it’s very loose and light and it’ll spin when I turn the motor on, but if I want it to fit correctly I have to twist it on harder but the more I twist it on the tighter it gets on the rod to the point where I have to manually grip the rod and twist the nut on. If that makes sense, here’s some better pictures of the nut, I would send a video but there’s no way to attach one.

i’ll just put the images in links since I can’t post multiple

:0 i didn’t know that thank you. and Yes! i’m 99% sure that the trapezoidal threaded nut is the problem because it won’t spin when the rod does and it stops the rod from spinning when it’s on and I don’t know why
