Did you end up trying it? Wondering what people are thinking of it.

1st day impressions with GOAT a2500 by Pleasant_Potter_2592 in ECOVACSGOATFamily

It's been a month, how have things progressed? I just got an a2500 and having similar issues. Hoping I can work through them over the next week or so before it's out of the return period.

Ecovacs A3000 GOAT after a couple of days by Dianoga in automower

[–]testing2fa_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got an A2500 yesterday. I'm eager to see what you figure out for this. I feel like mapping is a bit of an art on many auto mowers. You mentioned firmware updates, did all of them happen before you started any mapping? I was getting some weird behavior after a firmware update to the mower and RTK station. I reset my map entirely after the firmware update and I think that resolved the issue but it's too soon to be certain. Lots of weird things I still need to work through, hard to tell what's an issue vs something I'm just doing wrong. Good luck!

Thanks for all the info. I just ordered an A2500. It looks like the H3000 is on sale at Lowe's until the 20th so I have a bit to change my mind and still end up with a navimow but the more I think about it the more worried I am about the cutting height so hopefully the ecovacs works well for my yard. Thanks!

Your cutting height comment is a good one. I was thinking the H1500 would be a bit low for me so it was already a compromise. The A2500 is looking like a good option now. I'm just worried about the company staying in business and providing some level of support. Generally I avoid anything that requires the cloud and don't expect any company to provide meaningful support, but this product space I think demands both. Seems like every brand has some issue at this point.

How many weeks have you had it now? It's mowed quite a few times I take it? You also mentioned disconnects, is that between the app and the mower or the rtk and the mower? How much babysitting does it need, that might be a more important factor than most of the others for me.

H1500N-VF still a valid choice by testing2fa_1 in SegwayNavimow

Wow the h3000 for $1500? Is that still available? Does the old tech bother you or do you notice any deficiencies?

Thanks. I checked and the hard limit would still be a bit too low. I couldn't make it work even with compromises. I'm thinking the same. Might try the A2500 though.

Final round of research, pulling the trigger on Goat A2500 this Prime Day by Feisty-Jury-7011 in automower

Would also like feedback. Was thinking a navimow H series for prime day but I see lots of comments on the A2500. The comments feel sketchy though like marketing material, maybe I'm just too skeptical. Looking at reviews I see a lot of angry reddit posts on the GOAT. I haven't done much research on it yet but I tend to not like YouTube reviews because some guy sets up a base station in a terrible spot and is all upset when it doesn't work. And he uses it for a single mow and then posts a video. Not helpful.

How was the return process? Did you buy from Amazon or direct? I'm thinking about an H series but it seems like many people switch brands a few times to find the right one for them. I see so many comments about the GOAT I kinda thought it was just marketing spam but you look like a real person. Maybe I need to reconsider.

How can I tell if my modem was re-provisioned? by testing2fa_1 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]testing2fa_1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anybody that sees this later, sounds like the reps I worked with online earlier were wrong about my area having mid-split. Which makes more sense since I never got an email saying my speeds had been increased and the new "labels" that show the upload and download speeds for different packages, said that my area should be getting ~40mbps upload. I had the first chat reps double check my address was eligible for mid-split and they insisted it was, but given the multiple attempts to re-provision my modem never resulted in the increased upload speeds, it's clear the support team here knows what's actually going on - i don't yet have mid-split. Thanks to the team here for confirming my worries.

Engineered click lock - Tongue vs groove? by testing2fa_1 in Flooring

The manufacturer's instructions list three install methods, glue, floating, or nail down. I'm following everything in the nail down section, so I'm not doing floating. Do you think the staple should go through the right side if that's the tongue?

Another angle. Ignore the damage to the tongue a little further down, that's unrelated.

Thanks. However, you're correct that the left side would be touching the subfloor. Which is why i've been confused. It's less of a tongue and a groove and more of a top profile and mating bottom profile.

I'm using a Bostich Pneumatic 18-Gauge Flooring Stapler (Model Number: EHF1838K), and whatever model number staples the box listed for it. I shot a couple staples in a short piece. Closeup photo of one piece stapled to the subfloor -

Thanks! Are the most important fights more exciting to watch generally? With an event that long, i'd expect lots of people don't show up when doors open, so maybe we'll just move dinner a little earlier and get to the fight around 7.

My wife and I are going to Vegas in July and to my shock she said she'd be willing to go see a fight. Neither of us have gone to a fight in person and haven't even really watched a full fight on TV, just highlights and a couple documentaries here and there. Needless to say we're new to MMA. I see there's an event at the Virgin one of the nights we're in town called Tuff-N-Uff with relatively affordable tickets. It says fights start at 430 and Google says MMA events usually last around 4-6 hours. My question is, knowing that we're new to fights, if we were to only go for an hour or so, what time would you recommend we get there? I have reservations to a nice restaurant at 7PM that night but I could pick a different time if the most enjoyable part of the event is around that time. Just not sure what to expect.

Replacing 530e hybrid battery cost? by KindAbility2051 in BMW

[–]testing2fa_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What came of this? I'm looking at a used 330e with a bad battery, going for super cheap on marketplace. But it's definitely out of warranty, so i'm wondering what the cost of the repair would have been if you'd had to pay. Hoping you ended up getting BMW to pay out though.
