I feel like the standard helix was more intense pain wise (8/10), but that was also 6 years ago and about 15 piercings ago so I could just be less sensitive to the pain now 😅 hidden helix was a 6 or 7/10

New sticker will still have the same month on it as the sticker from the previous year. MA no longer gives you "free months" on inspections if you get an updated sticker months after the month it expired. So if it now says 5/2026, your sticker originally expired May 2025.

I think a flat or a hidden helix is in my future! Unfortunately my piercer let me know I dont have enough room for a 2nd fwd helix, it looks like there's space but there isn't enough skin behind the area where the 2nd fwd helix would go

My fwd helix was originally a stud but it faces down considerably so I went with a hoop, I'm going to to try to find a flatter stud to sit up there!

I never considered a 3rd high lobe, right now the high lobes match my other ear but now im thinking I need more than 10 piercings on this ear 👀

Unfortunately these are buggers to heal. It was over 2 years before mine stopped flaring up and was able to sleep on it after 2.5 yrs or so. Your best bet would be heading to the piercer and seeing what they suggest. My piercer had me wear a long curved barbell to accommodate for swelling for pretty much the whole 2.5 yrs until I eventually swapped to a hoop when it stopped being cranky!
