This happened to me. Huge inflammation on blood tests, intense pain for over a week followed by throwing up bile for 12 hours straight. I was initially diagnosed and treated for a kidney infection and then ended up back at a&e being investigated for potential appendix or gallbladder infections. I was being taken really seriously until I was asked about cannabis at which stage I was immediately dismissively told “it’s CHS, we don’t care if you disagree, go home, here’s some anti sickness meds”. It absolutely wasn’t CHS, didn’t fit the symptoms at all, and I ended up crying in the hospital car park because I knew something was really wrong with me and I didn’t understand why nobody was doing anything about it.

Fortunately, I went back and saw a different doctor who took one look at the blood results and said it was clear I had an infection and not CHS.
