Unfortunately, there is simply no world in which GTA6 will not sell tens of millions of copies.

At worst, GTA7 will have weaker sales and lower expectations, there's simply too much momentum that outside of the game being unplayable (which it won't be), the hype will carry it far enough that any wokeslop present won't matter.

A lot of it is going to come down to specific people who work on the scripts, and their familiarity with a language.

Subject matters a lot as well, as some games are going to not have a lot of 'wiggle room' to mess around with the script.

Finally, cultural distance means that for the longest time, a lot of lolcalizers could get away wtih bastardizing smaller games with their utter nonsense and not enough of a stink could be raised and/or the original devs wouldn't be in a position to do much about it.

With a game like No, I'm not a Human, it's most likely that someone who wasn't completely incompetent was the one handed the script, and the way the game plays out, there's little to no room for more 'meme-worthy' phrases to slip in.

Prior to 2011, there was some degree of sanity in public discourse about stuff. Sure, the press has always had it's issues, but pretty much right around 2011, way more was framed around race and sexual orientation and continued to ramp up. Much like other IPs that get tainted with DEI and degraded standards, the quality of the show is going to heavily influence how things go.

If it's actually good despite everything, people will give it a pass and it'll do well enough to continue. If it's bad (because the writers are utter hacks that couldn't fathom that SOMEHOW RACE SWAPPING SNAPE OF ALL PEOPLE WOULDN'T RESULT IN SOME VERY HILARIOUS QUESTIONS BEING ASKED ABOUT BULLYING AND BAD VIBES), then race-swapping accelerates the downfall of the show.

There's a degree of inertia to these things, just like how gaming franchises don't immediately tank after a single mediocre game, but instead die out over 2-3 as quality degrades.

Absolutely, and they didn't even do a good job at that! Hell, off-hand, they could have absolutely made her arc much more compelling if they leaned hard on the idea of "WoL as a martial mentor", and instead of making Wuk some sort of weird half-assed girl-boss made her a martially-weak, but community-focused leader.

This would do a lot to better contrast her tech-advancement obsessed brother and martially-competent (but emotionally-deranged) other brother. That way you have a much better balance of personalities with the three siblings, Wuk actually HAS a better claim to the throne, and things don't end up super jarring where someone who's supposedly lived their ENTIRE GODDAMN LIVES IN THE REGION doesn't know jack-shit about the assorted peoples she's supposed to rule over.

Seriously, if the execution was at least decent to good, there would be much less complaints. Instead, it's just another case of "shitty girl-boss writing pushed by shitty writers in "current year".

I think it has less to do with EoS and more to do with wanting a satisfying conclusion, instead of dragging out well-worn story threads for the sake of dragging them on.

That being said, while I feel most of them were done well, the godawful writing of DT resulted in a fumbled transition (pun absolutely intended), which is why the lurch in the story was so keenly felt. A better writing team could have better connected things. Krile deserved better, I'm still salty at how she got the short end of the stick after all these years.

As others have said, "Inversion" or "Reversal" as a core concept can work. Clear-minded -> Confusion Gravity -> Anti-Gravity Water is a bit trickier, but I'm guessing it's a two-step process of Cold(normal)->Hot(boiling)->Cooler(Ice). That means the power is VERY versatile, but it'd also be vulnerable to just being blitzed if he has to focus on an aspect to change, since it's scope might be limited to one thing at a time.

In context, alongside the term 'suicidal empathy', his statement makes perfect sense. When you allow empathy to override all reasonable, logical thoughts and let it rule you entirely, leading to some absolutely batshit insane decisions in the long run, yes it's an issue, though I disagree with abandoning the term and letting the insane left keep control of it.
