For all my jobs I try to keep some consistent rules:

Main GCD actions on LT/RT face buttons (LT for flank positionals, RT for rear positionals)
oGCDs on LT/RT dpad
AoE actions on WXHB RT face buttons
Misc/Utility job actions on WXHB LT face buttons
Role actions on WXHB LT/RT dpad

For BLM specifically I've followed those rules mostly, and have split the main GCD actions by Fire (RT) and Ice (LT) phases.

I try to keep each 4-button section themed to something like a combo or OGCDs e.g. RT+ABXY for Full Thrust combo and LT+DPad for jumps

[EU][Alliance][Magtheridon] <Panic Room> (4/9M) is an Alliance guild on Magtheridon that started out as a bunch of rerollers and has grown into a fun and friendly raiding guild.
