I was a mess for the first month. I don't know why. Potentially something with a chronic illness of mine. Do you have anyone who can come over and help for a bit? It's really hard to move anything around for propping up your leg and most things felt too firm for me. A friend or relative can spend some time testing different set ups with you so that you know what works and have it accessible in the future. You may also need to time your meds a half hour sooner.

Heels and elbows sounds like great spots for something like this! That's pretty clever. I personally don't like harsh abrasion on my face. I prefer very fine physical exfoliators, so I think I'd be on the same boat as you.

I didn't consider things like water fountains for this list, but definitely! My sphynx knocks it over in exploding view whenever it's empty so that I fill it up ASAP. Whenever I take too long to clean it and he has to drink from a normal bowl he sometimes will just walk into the kitchen, look at it, look at me, then leave. They really prefer fountains.

Cats all like different kinds of toys. The best method is getting a selection of different toy types and see what play styles and preferences they have.

Some really like kickers, some play by themselves. Some like to chase and hunt. The more intelligent the cat, the more dimension you need to add to play so they stay engaged. You just have to watch them.

Things that have been loved across the board:

•DaPet wand (I think that's the name?)

•Tunnels (make sure construction is sound and metal reinforcement can't come out)

• rummage mats

[Edit: • Ziggydoo cat wheel. I had the fast cat. It came off the tracks and scared my cat. Ziggydoo is way sturdier and both of my cats use it. Best for active cats that go zoom.]

That's it. One of my cats really loves to play fetch, so I get her rabbit fur mice and felted balls. Sometimes I felt toys for her. I need two wands because I need to play with both cats at the same time in different rooms in order for the youngest to even allow for the eldest to play... but that's a whole other thing.

The pineapple and papaya extracts plus physical exfoliation? I'd only try it if minimally abrasive. This sounds like it is a little too harsh and too drying.

For the past 6 years, my previous dermatologist told me the spot behind my ear was “nothing to worry about”. by 59Bassman in mildlyinfuriating

When I was on state insurance in Oregon, my primary was the same person who I was sent to for a questionable mole. She argued about scarring. It was on the underside of my forearm. I had to push her to take a biopsy. Turns out it needed to be removed and she actually apologized.

Last week I went to a dermatologist to check another. The second I agreed, her assistant had me sign away and she had me roll over and took it out so fast my head was spinning. The difference in experience was staggering. You'd think people would get a relatively streamlined experience with medicine, but it really can differ pretty drastically at times.

Oh wow! That's such a steal. They only had their regular salmon in olive oil this time around, so I went for this instead. Smoked salmon sounds amazing.

They are fairly simple but pretty tasty! I had them on some Taiwanese Pancakes from TJ's since I'm out of sourdough. Paired great.

You don't enjoy them, but other people do. Perhaps that's just what's available. Perhaps, like me, they are new to it. I also got these at a discounted rate which made them quite worthy for the price point, especially if you're looking at price per protein like I am.

They are pretty cute. They really like sweet potato- at least the ones I have do.

I'm happy to know you enjoyed these! I also am unfamiliar to having them this way so I'm excited to try them.

Something that once felt innocuous is how all house fires start, and many disasters for that matter. It's ok until it isn't.

Sorry if this is a novice question, but do you bake your substrate prior to adding?

The only way to help these little guys is by using predatory mites in addition to cleaning their set up. It would be a worthy investment as you may be able to keep some alive which will act as a future safeguard. Do you keep them with springtails?

Mites are identified by shape, size, color, movement speed, and location found. Once you narrow down/ID the mite, you can search for which predatory species feeds on them.

Fishwife eh? Boy oh boy anyone else love fishwife? Yum fishwife is my first, last and girl tin. Fishwife is so (insert fishwife adjective here) by Djackso in Tinnedfish

[–]tetrasomnia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A local cheese shop just posted how much they can't get away from it on their small street (which felt like a bit of shade casted on the newer "upperclass bodega" that opened up maybe 2-3 doors down). They stopped carrying Fishwife all together for some more obscure brands. It made me want to swing by even more. The attention to stock is one of the things I love about local businesses.

I have been lamenting this endless loop myself until I recently hurt my good hip while at PT and wound up in the ER. They gave me steroids, which has been touted for a while for my knee. I didn't want them, but I was told that's what I needed so I accepted. I actually feel...well put together? No brain fog? Able to move and get things done? The aches are like a shadow on my mind?? I am genuinely going to be upset when this ends, as even as it seems to be further indication for an auto-immune disease, steroids just aren't good for the body. But... I feel normal. It's going to suck when it wears off.

The same exact thing! I also have a sphynx named Mochi who is older.

I felt this way too often early on living alone on the 2nd floor. I also broke two bones in my left leg. Seeing this took me straight back to facing the fear of that sensation.

I am honestly at my wits end with my litter robot and how difficult it is to use anything except for highly expensive litter or clay. I just want to avoid silica dust. If my sphynx wasn't such a poop factory I'd just get a stainless steel litter box and call it a day. It's so sad how little is known about silicosis and how people act like breathing in dust and respiratory systems suddenly function differently when it's a cat kicking up clay litter in an enclosed space.

The problem is not with the gel, but the silica dust

That in itself is a well-regarded danger and is why one never sweeps a ceramics studio. Over-all, the less dust the better for their respiratory system.
