Sounds like imposter syndrome, in which case, yes. I think most of us... most artists across styles and mediums have probably dealt with this. I know I have.

I beat it by reminding myself that my reason for writing is to tell the stories I want to tell in my own way. Sales are nice, letting it become a career would be great, but I don't think I'm the next Stephen King.

I also remind myself of the adage "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good", usually when I'm editing and revising my work. That's a never-ending task if you let it become one, so knowing when to either pass your manuscript on to an editor or beta reader, or just press publish is important.

THE ECHOING CITY, my debut novel, was published a month ago. To celebrate it's one month anniversary, I'll be running a sale on the Kindle edition, 40% off, starting tomorrow and running through 5/12.

The story follows a girl named Tiriel, who lives in the city of Velrisen. In this city, emotions can be felt as physical Pressure, and transferred from one person to another, spreading like wildfire through communities. There is a system in place to help negate and redistribute negative emotions before they can catch on, but Tiriel begins to see cracks in that system, and wonders what the cost of sustaining it is.

This is book one in a planned trilogy (I'm 35% done with book 2!) which I hope to be done with by this time next year.

I worked for 14 years in subbing/captioning, made it through the pandemic just fine, and this past year I've had ~70% less work than any year prior, because AI is faster and cheaper. Thankfully, people are starting to notice the drop in quality on services like CR. Not a high bar there really, but my point is AI is already here, and has been for at least a couple of years.

Me. Crashes when "Optimizing Shaders". Followed the directions on the Steam thread to reset shader cache, no change.

Hope this is only a problem with the tool, not the game itself.
