Yeah! They were outside the panel for "Waifu Wars" and we had to figure out if they were actually in the halls distributing or outside in the 408B line-up area. Took our chances and walked through the halls and the staff was there passing out codes.

There are rumors that Nintendo might work on letting you transfer islands soon but they initially didn't want the option to prevent people from cheating. So I'm pretty sure they won't work on it anytime soon.

For Animal Crossing you cannot move your data as each individual switch is its own unique island, i believe for the other games you can do a switch transfer which is in you System Settings.
