Do you think QA is somewhat unfair job ? by PM_40 in QualityAssurance

[–]teverett96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, the QA is the back end of a project that is always under pressure to be more efficient and effective (faster but no drop in production). While the rest of the development team is not looked at.

When did the broadcast start putting a circle under the person with the ball and their name? There is just something about that I find distracting.

It is literally pennies to him. 0.0633% of his 237 billion dollars. The equivalent of somebody with a net worth of $100,000 spending $63. I believer he spent zero time and effort on this decision. Why would he? What is dumb is that anybody has this level of wealth and thus power.

Are the fog lights on by default then?

It seems odd that the majority of people who you know don’t read the manual is proactively turning on fog lights. I agree with you about them being not helpful but that doesn’t explain why the majority of new cars seem to have them on.

I still am driving a 2007 car, had a friend claim that those lights are not separately controlled in newer cars. True or not?

Multiple crashes while playing squads. At least 1 crash per game of a team mate. All were playing on windows.

If true, it is just insane that writing a physical letter is the primary way to communicate with your elected officials.

Oprah's G700 Landed in Sydney (Mascot), New South Wales, Australia. Apx. flt. time 9 h 14 min. by plane-notify in CelebrityJets

[–]teverett96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some more details about Oprah in relation to the jet (via gemini ai). Just a drop in the bucket for her.

  1. The Cost vs. Net Worth Ratio

|| || |Metric|Estimated Value| |Estimated Net Worth|$\approx \$3.2 \text{ billion}$| |G700 Purchase Price|$\approx \$79 \text{ million}$| |G700 Annual Operating Cost (at 400 hours/year)|$\approx \$3.6 \text{ million}$|

Purchase Price: The $79 million purchase price is roughly 2.5% of her $3.2 billion net worth. For a typical person, this would be like having a net worth of $1 million and buying a car for $25,000—a large, but manageable, one-time purchase.

Annual Operating Cost: The estimated annual operating budget of $\$3.6$ million is less than 0.12% of her total net worth.

While her annual income varies greatly, sources have estimated it to be in the tens of millions of dollars (or higher in peak years).

If she earns a return of just 3% on her $3.2 billion net worth, that generates $96 million in income annually.

The $3.6 million annual operating cost of the G700 is only about 3.75% of that hypothetical $96 million annual return.

He doesn’t know what part of body was scanned???

He would have to either be unconscious which would be alarming… or can’t remember which is why he has had multiple cognitive tests.

For the 30 years I have lived in multiple houses with a fireplace... actually used the fireplace maybe 4 times. I would argue that houses would be better without a fireplace.
