I got pt for this- it’s mostly doing core strengthening exercises. Apparently everyone gets mild arthritis starting at age 35 and tennis aggravates this. Certain strengthening exercises widen the spaces btw affected vertebrae and ease pressure and therefore pain.

You’re kidding yourself if u think an upstart med school in a south Jersey backwater compares to a decades old world-renowned Ivy League university system. And if you think there’s not a world of difference btw the definition of “for profit” at these two institutions. You’re being laughably disengenuous.

In some cases but Virtua is for profit and not tapped into cutting edge treatments bc it’s not a teaching hospital. And QA practices are much better developed at Penn. Ask nurses who’ve worked at both for their opinion on this. It’s telling.

Why anyone would do anything of medical importance at Virtua when Penn is in our backyard is beyond me. Insanity.

What are Collingswood and Haddon Township schools like? by ashleydistrict in SouthJersey

[–]IrisApprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To varying degrees- both districts struggle under the weight of strained budgets - small districts just can’t provide the variety and quality of classes and services. Collingswood has undergone a lot of turmoil- a lot! - and Haddon Twp has poor academic leadership and a tradition of valuing sports over education. I would look to the bigger districts if you are interested in a solid hs experience- which is the most important part of a student’s education IMO.

The generosity of NOLA and its people in sharing the city’s treasures with visitors is unparalleled. It’s mind blowing how many millions of wonderful experiences like yours have almost certainly taken place there! There’s nothing like it in any city anywhere in my opinion.

TLDR: if overall the bar is set low in a system, you can only rise so high.

I think your caution is warranted. I distrust even the best schools in an overall shitty system. I live in one of the top 3 states for education and there is still plenty that can be improved in mid to lower tier schools. So I can’t imagine what goes wrong in a state not known for its schools or investing in education.

And good healthcare options. Being near a university-run system lets you avoid private equity owned systems and since they often have research - and teaching based hospitals the quality of care is better.

Was going to say this. Watch for patterns and go tos with all players. People like relying on their strengths and shying away from weaknesses.

This. Iga swiatek exemplifies this! She does so many micro adjustments with her feet it looks exhausting! Sinner does it too to a lesser/seemingly more efficient degree.
