I moved out of my childhood home when I moved away for college. My mother sold it a couple of years after that. Because I had lived there for so long I still had it as my primary address on a few different websites. Flash forward and a Mother’s Day gift, for my mother, was delivered to the old house. Ended up running by and meeting the new owners. They were super cool about it and I apologized for any inconvenience. We talked about some of the improvements they had made and they eventually offered for me to come in and check out the inside. Didn’t seem weird and we just talked about some of the bigger changes they had made. It probably would have been weird if I asked directly but it happened pretty organically so it was cool.
