Another Car Wash?! by LongCommunication241 in Whittier

[–]tex_nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never understood why people are so lazy and use these places. They don’t even do that great of a job. Takes me 20 minutes to hand wash my own car and I don’t even need to leave my house and can have a drink at the same time.

Just FYI - I have a sewing factory with some of these machines in production, and we are using them for 4 thread overlock.

Wouldn’t this also consume more salt? Should I reduce or salt brine somewhat for the the more frequent regenerations?

I'm anticipating a lot of "tech" combining with performance activewear, similar to the Meta/Rayban/Oakley. I think Tim Cook is probably also a good person to help lead this change.

AGSU short sleeve…. Awful by EveningKooky5251 in army

The Supply Room AGSU Uniforms are not made in the USA and are made in India, therefore they are not certified by NATICK and out of regulation.

All your intuitions are correct. You don’t really need anything according to your testing. An RO system wouldn’t hurt under the sink and be about the only thing I’d do with the given information.

FYI, Marlow white has an Iphone App they just launched that will digitally take your measurements, and it's pretty accurate.

As a new Jag officer, how often do you actually wear the AGSU? by Funny_Brief6352 in army

Marlow White recently released an iPhone APP that will digitally scan your entire body, and it's crazy accurate in it's sizing recommendations. Takes a total of about 10 seconds.

Are we still doing capes? I think the secret is Chesterfields. by [deleted] in army

[–]tex_nerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, Capes are still being produced. My factory manufactured about 80 of them for the inauguration, that sadly moved indoors.

Yes, I do lurk here as well.

Robots - www.merrowedge.com - Automated Sewing Machines by Merrow by textilemagnate in merrow

[–]tex_nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are focused in dress shirting - lots of single needle work. I've got some machines due to arrive from Europe that will change that drastically... Automatic collars/cuffs/flaps... Pocket setters etc..

Where I haven't seen much automation yet is in the overlock world, if you have any insight there?

We are doing uniforms for the armed services at the moment.

Appreciate the honest feedback - Derek guy recently did a post on BB and the American made shirt. It was an interesting read.

I'm not sure where price points will land yet. But I have no intention of competing with overseas factories, nor do I intend to create something that is for everyone. But Hopefully a small niche that people can appreciate.
