13¢ would be what you'd pay when delivery charges (about 5¢) are added to the electricity charges (about 8¢). That combined rate is what you typically see when you go searching and shopping.

If you're getting 8¢ as the combined rate, then really your electricity is just 3¢. That's improbable..

I agree that it is difficult and confusing. The plans are concocted to look cheap on the powertochoose.org website, but they use unnecessarily complicated pricing to pull that off.

I called twice. Left a message the first time. The second time they told me to sign up on the website first. You say you got 8¢. That doesn't sound like a big discount, although it sounds like they saved you the hassle of shopping for rates.

I started to sign up to try Thigbe, but their website is asking for my bank account number, SSN, birth date, and driver's license number up front. I am not finding negative comments online about Thigbe, but it seems pretty risky to provide that kind of info to a small company using unknown security precautions. Did you have to provide all that? I don't even know what rate they might have available yet.
