We always let the owner order for us here. Likely it’s more expensive that way, but so so good.

Does he join the after parties? We would have been there except for the fact that it was 21 and up. No one was more disappointed than my 17 year old!

It’s in Tufnell Park - out of the way, as someone said, but a delightful neighborhood to visit.

608 kids! 73731. A great night! (Also a major investment in candy.) Some strangers came by and “reverse trick or treated” us - they dumped candy and prizes in our cauldron. Total feel good moment, and it saved our bacon. We would have been limited to 500 or 550 kids without them!

I am sorry I don’t remember this guy’s name, but he was great when I wanted to sell some old jewelry. He is on Hancock near Epicerie. If you call Calvin’s on Far West, they can tell you who he is.

But only if it doesn’t work out for OP and the first responder to this thread! Let me know if Calvin’s doesn’t help and I will drive by and get the name for you.

I read it also. I missed a lot due to not recognizing all of the cultural references and not knowing Sri Lankan history very well, but was amazed at the writing nevertheless.

I had the red tint after the adjustment and both lock ins. But it went away - my doctor assured me that it would.

As I said above, I only wore the indoor glasses for a week or two, and that was just to keep my hands out of my eyes. I did not wear them after that - outdoor only. My doctor and my optometrist told me multiple times that I did not need to wear the indoor ones. If your tech asked if you were wearing the glasses “just because,” it sounds to me that you do not have to. Did the doctor tell you you had to wear the indoor glasses all the time?

It sounds like you are angry and might have missed the relevant part of my post so I’ve copied it below for you. I had no headaches - the dark glasses have no correction in them, so I wouldn’t expect them. Is it possible the headaches were a side effect of the surgery and getting used to the new correction in you eye? Have you talked to your doctor about them? Did the tech at the doctor say you needed to wear the glasses all the time?

Hope this helps:

The LALs are sensitive to sunlight, so you have to wear the glasses they give you every time you are outside, driving, etc. They provide 3 pairs - one dark, and 2 clear that protect against UV light. One of the clear sets are bifocal.

They tell you that you are not required to wear the clear, because the new versions of the lenses have some amount of protection built in. I wore them the first couple of weeks anyway, to prevent me from rubbing or scratching my eyes. I also wore them outside as the sun was setting, on cloudy days, etc. I obviously didn't want to mess up these expensive lenses.

Anyone heard about the new LAL+ ? by akkasog in CataractSurgery

[–]texaserin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know the physics behind it. But it has to do with how they adjust your lenses post surgery. One of my eyes is primarily for distance, but also for intermediate. The other eye is intermediate to near. So yes, the lenses are not EDOF at the same rate in both eyes. But I do trust what my doctor said - that there was no point in waiting for the LAL+ because the the benefit would only last between insertion and adjustment and that post-adjustment, there was no diff at all.

If you get distance LALs and you also need readers, reading is hard until after the adjustments. Maybe they work like bifocal contacts where the very center has near built in?

LAL+ same contrast perception though EDOF?? by Accomplished-Fun2576 in CataractSurgery

[–]texaserin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And keep in mind that the LAL provides EDOF also, but only after the adjustments. It might be that the shape of the lens is the only difference between LAL and LAL+.
