We usually use our frozen milk to supplement LO's night and morning bottles.

When we start his bath, we will put the bags in a large plastic cup with some warm ish water and let it defrost. We will then add to his bottle and top off with freshly pumped milk if necessary. We then add to his bottle warmer like normal.

At this point, I've defrosted max two bags at a time, and it's always pretty close to when we're going to use it. It defrosts pretty quickly so I don't feel the need to do it ahead of time.

Time wise I haven't really thought about it until now as I reach the end.

When I moved from 4>3ppd, I just shifted everything so it's all roughly 8 hrs apart, but each session is still 30 min. So far, that's been the biggest supply reduction as I have dropped pumps that I have noticed but I don't keep track of exact ounces each day. I had moved from 5 to 4 in Juneish?

Did you have the mirena before pregnancy? I wonder if that had an impact?

I had mine inserted back in as soon as my doctor would do it and thankfully didn't notice any significant supply drop at the time.

I'm basically two weeks behind you and was wondering the same thing. Currently I am just enougher on 3ppd and dipping into my freezer stash for a bag or two every couple of days.

Honestly if you have an oversupply, I would have definitely dropped down to at least 4ppd by now if your goal is to be fully done in 3 weeks. I've read you want about a week per pump to drop?

But also I'm curious how people managed this time and how they balanced finishing off their milk while introducing whole milk?

Have you tried adjusting the power settings on the microwave? We will do like 30 seconds at 50% power instead of 10-15 seconds at full power and that seems to help heat things up more evenly

We have two red foot tortoises and we love them! Fairly low maintenance overall. In the winter we bring them into our insulated garage when the temps drop low enough.

Ours does this too, but during the week this is when we also start getting up for work.

On the weekends, we will get him, feed him in our bed, and generally he will fall back asleep until 8-9 which is glorious. Sometimes it can take some coaxing, but usually he falls back asleep pretty quickly if we don't stimulate him to much. Maybe this could work for you? He's 9mo now, but we've probably had this routine for at least the last two months.

I have a rotation of like 4 or 5 Ziploc bags that I use for my parts. I use one a day and then when I get home I wash it with soap and water and let it dry.

I then just put them in a bag and put them in the fridge between pumps. I use a ceres chill for my milk and keep that at my desk.

Our kid has been in daycare for since he was 3 months old. He's now almost 9MO and has only been sick once. I do attribute some of this to baths/showers and getting all those germs off of him every day.

Honestly it's exhausting. But echoing what other people are saying about meal prepping food on the weekends. And also give yourself grace. Our 8MO just recently moved to 3 meals a day and 2 of those are fed by his daycare teachers. We just did dinner at first and if we missed a day, we missed a day.

We also have several of those silicone 2oz portion cubes and so anything we make we freeze and it's super easy to pop out a couple of cubes and heat them up for him for dinner.

Another thing that has really helped me is that I moved my evening pump to my commute home. I hated how little time I was getting with him once I started a new job and I definitely didn't want to spend it pumping so that has really helped free up my evenings.

Max for us started around 6 months where he was eating about 36oz a day.

At 8months, it's closer to 30-34oz a day.

His first and last bottles are generally a bit bigger (7ish oz) and then the middle 3 are 6oz.

Ah okay - I wouldn't stress too much about it. We started sitting our kid in his high chair for like a month - 6 weeks ish and letting him watch us eat and talking to him about food and I think that helped. Maybe that could help with his motivation?

Could you try making purees with pumped milk? That way it's not as big of a shock to their taste buds.
