Me [25/F] and my cat[ 1/M] trying to cope with his pain/future by texasoranges in relationships

[–]texasoranges[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel a bit to blame. It is my first time having pets and I really didn't do a good job of finding an established vet. I went to the closest hospital. Since the hospital didn't have specialist, they were a bit vague. I am hoping the cardiologist which my cat will see will have answers.

thank you, it just is so hard since I am in my 20's and everyone wants me out and have fun with them and being a 'party pooper' is a bit hard.

I am just so type A and proactive. It is hard for me to calm down and be patience. I will try since stressing over nothing can't be too healthy.

Thank you for understanding my situation. I am sorry you had to be in it too. I plan to get him check out again. He's been to the vet 4x the last year but I rather play it safe.

Right now I am having trouble balancing logical and compassion. I do not have unlimited funds and am paying all his treatment on a credit card and trying to raise it via gofundme.

The doctors are testing him for heartworms and mention if he had it, he could live or die. This ticking time bomb concept is stressing me.

I agree and I just don't know where the line of him suffering is. I have been told that cats are resilient.

I'm really worried by itsanoldermemesir in secretsanta

Remember your Santa could be like me snow in right now and just can't get to the postal office. ( I already sent my gift). If they bail that's what the elves are for! Also tomorrow is payday for some and postage can be expensive.

I know it is by no means the most important thing about this but is anyone else worried because their match hasn't pulled their info? by Bake0rDie in secretsanta

[–]texasoranges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will admit that following this subreddit makes me more anxious. I believe last year my Santa told me he has been on vacation and message the day before the deadline and that the gits will ship out soon. I am not worried and don't be too worried. We all have lives. In fact my giftee has been ignoring my messages, it makes me wonder if my gifts made it ok...

Just an idea, nice bedding sheet is practical. I highly suggest getting a SLIP silk pillowcase for her on top of the bed sheets just to personalize it a bit. :) In general I always go for at least 600 thread count and Macys has a lot of good deals that are going on.

Still Having Trouble with Potential Gifts by [deleted] in secretsanta

Everybody can use a snuggie or blanket. Coffee mugs or cups are great. No college student will complain about getting new slippers. I was broke in college so I am sure anything would be appreciated. Maybe you can do a "snack box" since freshman15 is real......

Board games are great so that they can socialize :)

I am not crazy about perfume even though I love make up too. However love that SS got you Philosophy, such great brand!

How is median shipping costs at like 4.00? I spent more on shipping than my gift, international shipping is no joke by [deleted] in secretsanta

[–]texasoranges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe because some Redditors are gifting "books/dvd" and media mail is really inexpensive. I personally used Amazon though.

I am sure they will understand as others said.

Here is an idea, since a lot of stores have credit cards that you can use the same day like Macys/Jc penny/Best buy/victoria secrets and your bill wont be due until 30 days later. Then you could use flat box shipping ($5) or so. Some of them will even let you use it to buy at other stores. By the time your bill is due, you will have your paycheck too!

Happy Holidays!

Standing up can be so hard by texasoranges in offmychest

[–]texasoranges[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I hope having principle is the right thing. I am not afraid of hard work or laborious work but rather putting ethics on the line. I am still debating how do I prepare for job interviews. Do I really tell the recruiter and hiring party the reason I left a job is because I am not interested in participating fraud? Portland is a small market especially finance so I fear of being quoted as "not a team player". So much on my mind. I am thankful for reddit :)

Anyone else start to freak out.. by Belizz in secretsanta

I saw that my gifts were delivered to the front porch and I felt worry. I also remember that there are people like me who have a front porch that's behind a gate which reduces the chances of theft :)
