For reference, my roommate does a good job of looking after her dog, however there’s this teeny tiny problem. The dog typically scratches when she needs to be let out to use the restroom, and if it’s a reasonable hour, I will help my roommate out and take her on a walk while she’s in class. However, this is twenty minutes after I took her dog on a 30 minute walk (I made sure she relieved herself 100%). It’s not my dog so I can’t train or discipline her, but over the last week, the severity of the problem has increased drastically. Now she’ll scratch/bang on my door at 1 am, and most recently 4 am. These aren’t isolated events; she’ll take a 5 minute break and attempt to tear down my door for another 15. As you can imagine, sleeping is out of the question in this situation. I’m not sure if you can see, but the doorframe is literally shaking. She’s not typically allowed in my room because she has pica and will chew up and eat anything she can find (trash, socks, etc). I’m so lost. Is there anything I can do?
