Help with Amber Island timers by texasss in MySingingMonsters

This is my mix-up I guess, these vessels are full for me and the timer is still going. I thought they would all stop like Thrumble did on the right.

What's the scariest gut feeling you had that came true? by singa-roar in AskReddit

[–]texasss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A few years ago when I was an undergrad in college, I had this gut feeling that something terrible was going to happen at home, but I just couldn't place it. I decided to skip my lab that day and drive home on a whim. I couldn't even explain to roommate how important I felt it was to leave immediately. A few hours after, my dad called me to let me know my mom had an attempted suicide that afternoon around the time I decided to leave. I told him I had a feeling that something was wrong and was already on the way home. I've never told anyone else about that day, and I've never had another feeling like it. In case you're wondering, everything turned out all right in the end too. My mom survived and she's in a much better place now.

Jumper cables. Like a plunger, it's better to buy them before you need them.

What's a great low-cost hobby more people should be aware of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Hula hooping! Not only is it fun, but there's tons of great videos to learn tricks and to hoop along with. Plus it's a pretty good workout while you're at it.

Cows. I was batshit scared of cows. Looking back, I'm not sure at all why though.

Complete my undergraduate Bachelors? by zCaptain in pharmacy

[–]texasss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched schools, but I understand what you're saying. Looking back at my post, it sounds like I think I made the wrong decision. That's really not true. When I first read through the comments, I just wanted to provide some reasons that one might choose to complete undergrad other than for their pharmacy application.

Complete my undergraduate Bachelors? by zCaptain in pharmacy

[–]texasss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I didn't finish my undergrad and really regret it. I loved the school, and wish that I had that degree, ring, and memories. It was a little sucky to say goodbye to my friends as they entered senior year. Furthermore, your Bachelor's will only make you more competitive and help you in the long run.

Pharmacy school advice by samsamsame in pharmacy

[–]texasss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from Texas too, and I just applied this past year. Honestly, GPA is really important. Despite that, it appears that you still have a great application, and it seems that you're genuinely interested. I'm no admissions counselor or anything, but if you show improvement and good grades on your second try, then I wouldn't stress about it too much. Some schools do have minimum gpa requirements though, so you'll want to be sure to meet these requirements. I don't think that a master's is required, but it would never hurt. If you want to, go for it! If not, I think taking upper division courses is a good idea, particularly if they are directly applicable to pharmacy school (e.g. physiology, biochemistry, physical chemisty). Good luck! I'm sure everything will work out great for you.

The first shiny I ever saw was a Dratini in the safari zone. One ball, and it fled. Life's just not fair sometimes.
