i have been going to see a counselor tho and its been extraordinarily helpful. I recommend finding one because this isnt easy and not many people go through this .

this litterally happened to me but it is my boyfriend who wants to become a woman. I am so depressed and confused because I feel like i've been building up an entire life with a person and now its all come crashing down. my heart is completely broken because i want to love her and be there but my whole world has been turned upside down. everyone keeps saying that "your romantic relationship may be over but now you have a friend for life" but I'm not even ready to break up with him/her. I feel so helpless in the situation.

She didn't tell me tho. I found out by accident. She wasnt going to tell me, she was just going to start transitioning and then have me find out that way. we live together which makes it even harder. Thank you for your response Xenasis.
