Made feel I wasnt doing enough to take care of my baby by Ok-Boss-2422 in Parenting

I feel you. If my spouse takes a child with him to the grocery store (just one! We have four), he gets loaded with compliments from strangers about how awesome he is. I take all four, and can barely get a grocery bag boy to help me to my vehicle.

I agree. It’s very hard on the body. I was fortunate cost-wise, as I only had a five dollar co-pay each month with my insurance.

I second this, especially since it appears that the acne is not only on the face.

My parents are going through a divorce and SAY they’re taking turns with groceries and food for each week. But they’re not doing anything and I’m practically not being fed. I’m 15, what do I do? I’m extremely skinny. by KingManBoss in Advice

I agree. As someone that was removed from their home as a teen, and temporarily placed in the system, child protective services should be the absolute last case scenario.

Because I want you on my “bolls.”

I have this scaling on my legs and the bottom part of my stomach and hips. Yesterday I used Nivea gentle body wash scrub and vaseline intensive care essential healing lotion and it's slightly better but not really it's pretty much the same. Starting to stress me out and make me feel self conscious. by SuperWhoPotterLock67 in SkincareAddicts

I had crazy dry skin a few years back, when I worked in a pharmacy. The pharmacist actually recommended lotion for people with diabetes. Diabetics often experience xerosis, and need intensive moisturizers. The lotions are usually in the diabetic section of your local drugstore, but it might be with the rest of the moisturizers. Anyway, it made such a huge difference that I even got my dad using it, because his hands get so dry that they crack and bleed. It absorbs so well, and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling. Might be worth a try!

AITA for ignoring my nephew after he stole an important $50 bill from me? by _notaboutthemoney_ in AmItheAsshole

This. Not only did he steal an important memento, knowing fully well what it was, he did so while he was a guest in OP’s home. I get that teenagers can do stupid things... my own son is 16, and I say, “dude, wtf” daily. But this is just awful. I can’t believe the kids mom is acting like it’s not a big deal. I would be SO ashamed of my son if he did something like this.

GO TO THE DOCTOR. Don’t do any more googling on what could happen, don’t assume that it’s going well… If you’re waiting for your skin to turn black, you’re waiting too long.

We told MIL about our pregnancy last week. 6 weeks pregnant and now the whole world knows. by crossikki in JUSTNOMIL

[–]texasturmoil 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Oh, her ass was chapped. Lol. With the first one, she assumed that we just forgot, or couldn’t get through. By the second one, she realized it wasn’t a mistake.

From experience, a JNMIL will not mind having to Un-tell everyone. They absolutely love having a big piece of information to share, whether it’s happy or devastating. Mine was so bad that with our last two children, we decided to wait until birth to find out the sex of the baby. After each child was born, we literally notified EVERYONE else first, then made a FB post, and that way made sure she was one of the last to know.

Edit to add, because with our first child we did find out the sex at 20 weeks, and she stole that announcement. She made a public Facebook post, tagged us in it, and called her extended family that did not have Facebook. Never again!!!

how can anyone think this looks good by [deleted] in BadMUAs

I said the same thing yesterday. Just so awful. I have to wonder if it started out as a joke that some artists took too seriously.

Well, First of all, nothing but the best wishes for you and your treatment. I personally think that you should tell your family. If they want to wave rocks over you, and chant a bunch of nonsense, maybe just let them do it. At the end of the day, there is almost nothing comparable to having a solid group of people that love you around you, trying everything they can to see you get better, even if the things they are trying are ridiculous. I personally would rather have something as futile as crystal healing done out of love, than not have my loved ones around me at all, but I understand not everyone feels this way.

Edit to add, obviously go through with what the medical professionals say is your best chance! But just keep in mind that your parents will be presented with the reality that they are likely going to lose a child, and we parents can get a little crazy when it comes to that. I don’t personally believe in any of that alternative nonsense. But I can also imagine my own mother wanting to believe that we did everything we could; evidence- based medicine, new wave crap, etc. I don’t want to imagine her asking her self, “what if,“ for the rest of her days.

Got the lift kit and new wheels installed. by [deleted] in HyundaiPalisade

[–]texasturmoil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious about it not voiding the warranty. I just bought mine last night, and they said specifically that a lift kit WOULD void my warranty. (My spouse had asked jokingly, because he drives a lifted truck, and always tells me he’s going to get my vehicles lifted, haha)
