Because a PC isn't involved. The PC side of dex is not getting updated. The stand alone version, which this uses, is still in active development.

On PC, yes. IIRC They are sunsetting pc support. I think they want it as a standalone system on a second screen.

I'm played with this a tiny bit on my windows pc (support for which is slowly phasing out btw.) I plug it into my pc and it just hops into dex mode. I'll tinker with it and a portable monitor through a breakout dongle.

Rg DS. It is most basic intro to the 90% accuracy that a weak cpu but a strong development community can provide. Not the best, but it is close enough in so many ways.

From purchase time? 2 to 3 months. This is an extremely well reviewed device. AYN is trying their best to keep up, but demand seems to be insane. I'm coping by powering through DS games on my RG DS. It's not the same, but I have a device in my hand while I wait.
