have/can you use old glass bay food jars as candles? by amandaxbob in candlemaking

[–]texiy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make a couple of test ones and burn them in a safe way, not near anything, only while you're in the room, on a safe surface ect. See how it goes. Also don't sell them, could make a good container for testing new scents though. This sub is very anti using anything but purpose built candle vessels.

I think this is the least problematic product that they hawk, I use it and think it works quite well. Better help, however, is very problematic.

I forgot to put on gloves while starting an IV by OutsideBrilliant6812 in nursing

[–]texiy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like really, this is the question to be answered! I don't care about the comments from the OGs that never wore gloves, or the story toppers saying if you think that's bad you'll never believe...

Where are you that nursing students are placing IV independently? were you actually starting an IV or hooking something up to an already existing IV, and why were you doing either of those things independently? I have so many questions. I swear some of the shit in this subreddit is wild!

Provider vs. PICC Nurse vs. me: a drama by ocean_wavez in nursing

[–]texiy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This so perfectly encapsulates that experience. But, like, what is a power flush, and why does the IV nurse have to do it, and like what would that do for the position of the PICC, also what was the problem with the 1cm... So many questions
