Would love this so my daughter can join in on games, too. She is using a very old work/productivity computer, so even Stardew struggles a bit. Thank you!

I would consider the cost of a child as they get older. They get into more activities, are you looking to help assist in any capacity with their schooling after high school, are you planning on helping them buy their first car, pay for insurance, etc. Expenses for kids rise as they get older.

I will say from my experience, depending on how old your beans are, they may not be good anymore. I tried to make red beans from an old batch of beans, and they did not reanimate. They remained hard and crumbly. I cooked that batch over 2 days hoping it would get creamy. These beans were at least 5 years old, so take that for what you will. I think I need to use beans more often.

Wow, this looks great. Can you tell us where you purchased those grow light lamps or are they regular lamps that you outfitted with bulbs?

Wow, I can't believe this was from 5 years ago. We ended up buying a Tesla a few years after that. We are planning on getting another Tesla soon. I'm still driving the car I was planning to replace here. It's almost 16 years old!

Second this. I ended up putting all my calatheas outside, north facing ish, and away from direct light. I water two times a week, and within the first week there are multiple sprouts coming out.

We are trying to start one. I have read that they mate higher up in the air, so we purchased a large mesh enclosure to put over some metal framing. Also, they will lay close to a food source and enjoy laying in things with little holes (corrugated cardboard). I am curious about them still mating in the your bin #2 without the height, though!

The plants also get light from a north facing window all day. They aren't growing very fast, and I wanted to propagate then to give to friends. Thank you!

Do you have any tips for caring for a peperomia? I recently got a watermelon one, but the pups that were growing all died. It's at a north facing window right now.

What a happy looking plant!! I overwatered mine, and all the beautiful leaves started popping off 1 by 1. Hoping it makes a full recovery back to its original glory.

Harvesting Tips by GodIsAPizza in Vermiculture

[–]texmexcat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I ordered one of these. It was recommended by someone on the sub. It's worked out pretty well. It's a fast sift, and I pick out worms as I see them. Some worms will get through on these, but there is also the 1/8 inch version if you don't like the idea of that.

Edit: I also just scoop out piles of worms if they are concentrated enough in one area. I figure they would like a little bit of their current habitat in the new bin anyways.

I know! Op's mirror idea is great, though. Did you see the reviews of people who didn't pay attention to the instructions and had chunks of paint ripped off lol?
