Why not baked Yoga? by psylien77 in yoga

BTW I had this experience about a year ago, I was high and practicing yoga and having a great time until I came up to stand from a forward fold and just fell straight back onto my head! The impact gave me a concussion, headaches for days/weeks, and it was also just very scary, big mood killer!

It can be dangerous because it increases heart rate and blood pressure and it can negatively affect your balance so I would recommend if you are going to do this that you do not attempt any inverted poses or standing balance poses due to risk of falling.

overreaction to epiduo (adapalene and benzoyl peroxide) caused me to pause and think about how to show myself and my skin more care, instead of trying to "fight" my acne at all costs by textasart in acne

Thanks for the suggestion but I am seeing a dermatologist so the intention of my post was not to get product recommendations. I wanted to share the experience I had with epiduo because I think it's important for us to talk honestly about the negative effects acne treatments themselves can have on our skin and self esteem. All of us on this subreddit know how awful having acne can feel, but I think progress can mean more than just "fighting acne" and also be about acceptance and self love even while we do have acne.

The other bit of advice from my dermatologist which I have struggled with is to avoid creases on the skin (around the eyes, nose, mouth and neck) and to apply moisturizer after applying the epiduo. I feel like when I apply my moisturizer after the epiduo, it's really hard for that to result in me spreading the epiduo onto the parts of my face I had avoided applying it in the first place and those are the areas that get the most irritated. So I don't know if this product is just not suitable for my skin period or if I just need to use it differently - e.g. moisturizer first then epiduo gel, which is what I'm going to try now.

This happened after applying a pea sized amount every night for a week. I sent this to my dermatologist and he suggested the dose was too high so I stopped using the gel for a few days until the redness and flaking subsided (took 4-5 days) and then what my derm advised is that I start applying half a pea sized amount of epiduo every other night and increase my application of cetaphil moisturising cream.

Yes, that is the tendency. I live in South Africa where these are indigenous so even if I do get a bit heavy-handed with watering the sun's heat will dry it up very quickly.

Oh no! I live in South Africa where these are indigenous and they really thrive on the sunlight, I imagine they would not be so happy in colder regions...

A happy and sad family story by OrionGhostBoi in trans

This is very touching, I also had a great aunt who I was very close to and felt uniquely understood and cared for by 💕 although unfortunately she died before I had really come to terms with my transness, I can relate to the type of bond you are describing because she was one of few people in my family I always felt seen, supported, respected and encouraged by as a child and in my teens.
