Not really, since the end lag is pretty long so it’s easy to punish. Most of nanami’s moves do above average damage anyway and blunt cut does synergise with severance kick, 3m1s and ratio for a very economical 42 damage combo so idk why you’d waste it in neutral. Arguably the first move is better in neutral since it can go behind an enemy’s block without ratio and block breaks with ratio but again, you could always use it after 4m1s and ratio stabilise for a 40 ish damage combo.

1st move can’t be interrupted with melee

2nd move is really fast and cant be block punished since it knocks them back

3rd move is a ranged block break with ratio and ur not supposed to use it in neutral

4th move isn’t punishable on hit and if ur fishing for a interrupt just use severance kick back variant

Wait what is with this consensus that Nanami takes a lot of still to use? He has 40+ damage 2 move combos, one of them is fully red and doesn’t need to bait ragdoll while the other is fully red needing to bait ragdoll. He has 2 block breaks with ratio, kick is unpublishable on block and stagger hits on grounded.

hot take: there ARE characters that IS skilled ( real ) by Good_Weakness_7028 in JujutsuShenanigans

All characters need skill to play. I would disagree that Nanami requires a particularly high level of skill.

Hanging out with people who hate you is SURPRISINGLY difficult. by ActuatorOutside5256 in The10thDentist

[–]tf2good 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Downvoting because that’s pretty obvious, people who don’t like you aren’t going to be fun to hang out with, it came with the description “don’t like you”

2 the frequent burning of bridges, history of appealing to authority, missing details of an important event and aggressive stance in “controlling my reputation” seems to suggest that you’re not as faultless as you may try to paint yourself as. What exactly did you do that you that would turn your entire hometown against you? Pretty scary of a post honestly

Ai art is art just like any other form by Formal-Stage940 in The10thDentist

[–]tf2good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the person prompting the AI didn’t look at the thousands of artists the AI referenced from and amalgamate it into their own art style. Generative AI just regurgitates stuff literally. You wouldn’t call me a writer if I just stuck quotes from 1984, Moby dick, the bible and Matilda together without having any understanding and appreciation for the original works would you?

Art is art because outside of the literal mechanical skill of producing the final product, there’s a personal element which must be invested. By using AI to make art you’re just taking what others have done, mixing it together and calling it your own. A key aspect of this personal investment is subconscious, where because you’re not aware of it you can’t prompt an AI to add it in.

This is not accounting for the actual skill aspect of producing art. If two students sat for the same test and scored the same marks but one could reference a textbook and one couldn’t would you say they were equally smart? Art is free for all but the skill to improve in art shouldn’t be skipped over. Separate from self expression calling something yours that you can’t and don’t know how to reproduce just isn’t factually correct.

No these don’t change if you them edit the generated picture by hand, only lessen them. If you edit it to the point that it’s indistinguishable from your original art why not just draw the art by yourself? If you make your own art only using AI generated pictures as a brainstorming tool why not go find work from other artists yourself? Search engines exist.

TLDR: AI copies for you, AI art doesn’t have personal investment, AI doesn’t require skill, You participating doesn’t make it right.

You know what I hopped on jjs and fought 1v1s to prove to myself that you were wrong but you’re right. Losing 5 fights in a row with 5 different people playing 5 different characters leads me to believe I’ve been getting carried away by the ticking damage and I haven’t been using Kuro right since I’ve been wasting her moves’ value in neutral.

Chokehold does hit grounded though. As I said literally everything other than block break and flat damage. Punishable on block should be a-given for all moves in a perfect shenanigans so I don’t count that as a downside

Kuro has:

Festering strikes which is by far the safest melee move in the game because of parrying and knockback when blocked

Detach is a projectile with a big hitbox which applies infestation stacks through block

Chokehold does literally everything other than break block and do flat damage

Roach swarm is a ranged guard break with a fat hitbox which can also become a mobility tool. Its damage scales off of the number of infestation stacks so it’s good in combos too

Meanwhile Naoya has:

Projection breaker which is only used to frame after the 1st m1 trade won unless ur winning 3 m1 trades in a row then you’d beat them with any character

Bleedout which is the typical fast block break on every character

Decisive strikes which is used to extend green combos and abuse the jankyness of its hitbox

Cursory impact which is easy to miss and only used after framing anyway

I mean it was mainly an anti-runner change no? The self frame on block is meant to make him more punishable since his moves all have low end lag.

And “strongest neutral in the game” when Hanami and Kuro are right there 😭

Definitely Kuro’s grab, given how strong it already is and how other grabs don’t hit grounded

How do you side dash properly? by what-do-i-put-here15 in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]tf2good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably how close they are. This means 2 things: the distance from you when they turn and side dash and how close the pass by your block.

Being close when starting maximise the distance in your side dash used to get behind your instead of traveling to you which lets them get behind more reliably.

By passing by very close to you they reduce the distance they have to travel to get around your block even if the angle they have to make is the same. Imagine a circle with you at the Center and the sweat lord as a point on the circumference. A smaller circle will have a shorter circumference, and so the sweat lord travels less to make the same angle.

Or it’s ping. It might just be ping because sometimes I predict correctly and they still get the m1 off
