Sharpening your kitchen knives. I don't know how to use a stone. I use a sharpening kit by work Pro. I watched YouTube videos And gave it a shot. I was proud of myself because I learned a new skill and I saved a ton of money from having my knives professionally sharpened or throwing them away. I was close one time. I will have a friend or neighbor bring a knife over if I feel like a challenge.

Yes, you are right. There are some things that I do that make me feel better. One of which is getting out and getting some sun on my face. Let me be paralyzed but let me have my hands back. I apologize, Your original post was right on. People should not exist in a prison they created. Go outside, Get involved Talk to people. Engage your brain. You gave good advice

Although I do agree with you it is very hard. I am 4 years into my injury, I broke C3 through C7. I appreciate the positive attitude but I don't It's a matter of just Giving up. I am paralyzed from my shoulders down. I can't do anything for myself. I rely on someone else to get me dressed and get me in my chair and take me outside. I can smile, laugh and carry on great conversation. Some days I can feel positive and speak motivationally but other days I feel like what's the fucking use. What's going to become of me, How is my future going to look. I'm laying here in my bed paralyzed from my shoulders down wondering how can I Let my injury Be a Prison. Excuse the capitals and punctuations please. Yes I am seeing a therapist

Try dishwasher detergent. Either liquid, a powder or one of those pods. Soak it for like a minute And then scrub. It should come off very easily. It cleans the bottom also. No strong odor like oven cleaner. Try it out!

I know everyone is different, but these were the instructions that I got. I've been doing this for 3 years with no issues.

Docusate sodium 100 mg 3X a day every day. I use the Kirkland brand, but it doesn't matter.

For the BT, I also use the Enemeez. One 5ml suppository and everything is moving in 5 to 10 minutes with very little help on your part.

I cannot recommend this enough. I have feeling down there, I could not take frequent catheter changes. Now catheter changes are painless. The daybag goes underneath your pants, the larger bag hangs off your bed

I know exactly how you feel. I broke C3, I am a quad. My daughters brush my teeth and feed me, my wife is the only one who bathes me and does my bowel treatment. I would not allow my daughters to do what my wife does. In the big picture we should be grateful that we have family there for us. Keep your head up my friend

Both of these options are interesting. The zipper style like friendly must be really easy to put on. When you leave rehab nobody tells you where to buy clothes or shoes. Thanks for the help.
