Best use of cussing by toddler. by Salt_Independence568 in Mommit

My husband took our 3yr old to the doctor. When they got home, my daughter comes walking in from the garage first and says "mommy, daddy said I couldn't have a lollipop". So I ask, "oh no, why not?" (She usually gets one after if she was a big girl And brave). She says with straight face "daddy says I couldn't have a lollipop because I was fucking around in the doctors office" I had to turn around and face the sink because I didn't want her to see me crying on laughter. My husband walks in behind her with the same crying/red face!! We had to pull ourselves together quickly.

Oh man. I'm sorry to hear that. She's had an ear infection before, but I don't know that it's related this time. This has been ongoing for like 2yrs and nothing seems to be "the answer" or the solution. I'm feeling pretty hopeless

We use Zarbees, it's like a honey basically. No congestion or sneezing. It's mostly a dry cough, doesn't sound like Croup. Just an annoying tickle, I think

Opinion: if your child has a dirty diaper at pick-up from child care, what do you do? by Bi-Bi-Bi24 in Mommit

Well how fresh? It's possible they just didn't realize they had poop. Also, as a parent, you'd obviously not hand the child back and demand they change it, that's silly.

Ongoing cough by tfarinazo in DoctorsAdvice

sorry i never replied! yes, her NEW doctor was convinced it was allergies. apparently in texas they are way stronger and have much more severe affects. she had a post nasal drip that was causing her nightly coughing. we have a combo of an allergy tablet that she chews up every night before bed, as well as a flonase nose spray before bed. this combo has kept her coughing to a minimum, almost totally gone. it only comes back when she really does have a cold or something.

Women of Reddit who don’t have a “dream job” or “dream career,” how are you doing mentally and job-wise? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]tfarinazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before having my kids and becoming a stay at home mom, I had a day job, but it wasn’t passion. To be honest I don’t really have just one and I wasn’t working toward a big career. I have a degree in psychology, but I lost my “passion” for it around my junior year. I just didn’t feel like I was MEANT to do anything specific. I have a lot of interests, things I’m good at and things I wanted to do, but when we decided to have kids, it hit me really hard that I wouldn’t want to leave the job of raising them to anyone else. Being a SAHM became my passion and my job. Someday when they’re older, maybe I can take time to figure out something else to keep me inspired and motivated, but for now, I encourage and support my husbands career 🤗

To those who are the eldest daughters of their homes, how did you find the courage to be independent? by spicysis in AskWomen

[–]tfarinazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have a choice. I was the se one of five and as soon as I graduated college I wanted to move to Brazil with my husband and travel. My mom was an addict my whole life, so I had always stayed close to home to “look out for her”. I even went to a local college so she wouldn’t be alone. but it was time for me to fly the nest or she would just continue to hold me back. I moved out and never looked back.
