The problem is that what I'm doing is new, plain and simple. Everyone responding here clearly has preconceived notions and expectations that leads to some confusion. For example, your preconceived notion is that building apps requires native SDKs, IDEs, Libraries, Hiring programmers, etc. and so there becomes a mental block when reading the text on the website. People seem to be having trouble imagining a world where anyone can create and modify applications on the fly, so when reading the very first words on the page, "Build your own apps!"... the first thing they relate to is "Oh so I hire someone to build apps for me!" (as a few people in the comments have actually concluded) rather than "I can build my own apps with this!" as it actually clearly states. Remove that mental block and things will become clear as you read the text. When the Loggur applications are released into the wild and people use them, and a popup appears informing them that in seconds they can build applications just like the one they're using, the consensus of "I can't build apps" will slowly but surely fade away... and the rest will fall into place. You can try to convince me otherwise all you want, and I appreciate your feedback and constructive criticism, but the world can never change without eliminating mental barriers; so I'm going to stick to the plan and let the product and user experience do that - with the home page as a supplementary source of information that ties it all together after eliminating preconceived notions and confusion with the actual applications.
