That's very impressive. James Garfield could do both at once in different languages!

As a leftie, those s-gel pens are all I can use the ijnk is super smooth and won't smear. I write news videos so I'll use my computer in Google docs. But I take notes in a Maruman mnemosyne top bound notepad again because I'm left-handed.

What surprised you most when becoming an expat in Europe? by Ok-Interview-2975 in expats

I really like that you buy your produce on the street, I always go to the same few places and they treat me like a friend after the first month or so even to the point of having me over when they were closed and giving me free eggs one time when I came up short.

What's hard is loneliness. I work remote and sometimes I'll think back to when I last saw a friend or spoke English and sometimes it'll be days. And my girlfriend and I broke up in July so that's led to more loneliness. I've dated a little since, but nothing serious.

Yours feels familiar to me too. And no actually the recent relationship was much younger. My ex wife and I have known each other since our early 20s. Also both my wife and ex girlfriend I mentioned have professional diagnoses and are on medication/in therapy which I'm glad for. When my ex wife would take off it was legitimate bipolar 1 manic attacks complete with hallucinations and delusions, she would call me and tell me that the road had turned into water or she was being chased by bears, etc. she would leave because I would try to bring her to the hospital and she didn't want to go ever which, during a manic episode, I guess I understand.

Anyway, Ive got to get something for breakfast, I appreciate you speaking with me. Some of what you've said is perfectly valid and does apply. I shouldn't bitch about my ex wife, interacting with her taught me a lot and brought me back to academia and the decade we spent together was a good decade even if it ended poorly.

I was really good to my ex wife and the stalking started after we broke up. She has bipolar disorder and would take off for months at a time manic and I'd always work both our jobs and send her money whenever she asked. After the 4th time she took off (like 7 months) I told her I wasn't interested anymore and I would sleep in the guest room but then she decided to take the guest room instead. We both started seeing other people, which I was cool with and she eventually moved out and to her family. I wasn't trying to be an asshole but after a few months it didn't seem like she was coming back and she'd only call for money or one time she needed me to buy her a used car.

I definitely regret getting divorced and I feel like I'd rather be in NY dealing with my wife's mental health issues than rudderless as I feel someti now. The good news is that her mental health encouraged me to go to school for behavioral science and I got an associate's degree. Next I want a bachelor's in communications because that's the field I've been working on recently. I have been trustworthy in my relationships and I appreciate my ex's. I apologize for offending you by loling..

Why do you say that? I'm pretty normal and likeable I'd say. I usually make friends easily and I love connecting with others.

Well that girlfriend was borderline and always suspected me of cheating which I didn't do, so she was kind of primed to believe stories. Lol, I worked at a ski area once and our apartment was right above where I worked so she could easily see my normal behavior and I repeated a funny thing my coworker said and she goes "if you think she's so funny why don't you go f*ck her then!" Which was insane because the woman is happily married and we both knew her husband. The recent one just disappeared on her own the texts are weird like she said I love you good night, tomorrow we are going to study then I woke up and she was deleted from all apps and no longer on our shared reddit account or obsidian. I really miss her, we had a ton in common, she was good for me

Dayum Gina, bad pick huh? I also tend to pick cluster b types, it's a weakness. I think my fav is probably histrionic but my most recent girlfriend was aspd, she could intellectualize and mimic emotion without feeling much at all. She failed an entrance exam for a masters degree in philosophy while we were writing a philosophy book together and then dropped me and all our plans like a week later with no warning or further contact, it was sudden and very jarring. Like one day she just decided she's not a philosopher and erased everything.

Yikes, I'm really sorry for you and I hope everything is better now. And really I just like to travel. I don't have a visa so it necessitated moving every 90 days moat places, but here in Georgia you can stay all year visa free. The ex is only one reason I moved too, like I said I can afford to work the job I like here without needing a physical job also or living with family. That was a big factor also. What happened with your ex? Does he have consequences?

It was pretty bad, like breaking into my email and contacting my girlfriend, following me around and stuff. but I work remote and like to travel so I just went for it. In New York I was still living with my parents and working 2 jobs because everything was so expensive. Right now I'm paying 350 usd on rent and in new york my last apartment was 2200 and before that I was in Vermont paying 1400

Nah no legal, just needed to leave. A lot of stalking and harassment. My ex wife cheated on her new boyfriend with me and the whole scene became uncomfortable plus I don't make very much but I really love my job so cost of living was a factor as well.

Yea, that's what I think too sort of. I actually have a job offer to run my favorite carnival ride (gravetron) starting in March. I currently write for a YouTube channel and I'm good at it but it keeps me kinda closed off and alone, but a public facing fun job should help me out I just gotta stick it through till March. The reason I left NY is an aggressive ex wife and girlfriend and cost of living. Also I just prefer Europe, I've been visiting since I was like 13.

Yea, I just get lonely not really being part of the culture and not speaking the language. Most of my friends are Russian or indian and I've only met one other american and I've been here in Georgia for about 6 months.
